I just got around to watching this week's episode and I scrolled through but did not see any discussion of it yet (if there is, just direct me to it).
I thought that the top three were dead on and the red dress was the best by far! I loved the way it flowed when the model walked. I think the chiffon outfit could have been a winner if they had styled better. That hair made it look too "old lady" for me.
The bottom three were definitely read "costume." One blog I read called the matador pants "ric rac" pants so now that is all I can see! What a mess! The tutu was awful! It had potential but completely fell apart.
Bert, oh how quickly you have fallen
I loved you in the first episode and now you are just a whiney little baby that is irritating me! Ugh.
Oliver's accent just annoys me now and thank goodness they are off the Anya's "I just learned how to sew" kick. In fact, they barely spotlighted her this episode.
Fallen needed to go. She has not been able to handle the pressure of the show (too much crying lately) and she doesn't have enough sewing/construction knowledge to make it to the end.
So, what did y'all think?
Re: Project Runway Ep. 3 (stilts) spoilers
I agree with all your comments. Especially about Bert. I really think he is an adult brat.
And, I really liked Oliver, but now I just think he is pretentious.
And, I did think it was kinda funny about how the other top pair had a stilt walker that could not walk on stilts. And, while most of the models looked awkward walking on the runway, she just looked clumsy.
I loved that the "ricrac" pants were in a pattern, but seriously how is that "high fashion" lame-o
My Blog
Agreed! I saw the ric rac right away!
I thought the red dress had the best "flow". The green structured outfit might have won because they did such an amazing job with the tailoring and design. The "separates" outfit was a weird color combination to me, it was a beautiful aqua and a weird brown/tan. They had the chiffon difficulty working for them, but everything else was off to me. The hair was horrible! Couldn't they have stopped the hairstylist?!?!
Bert is on his way out!
My DH and I joked that we should drink everytime anyone "throws someone under the bus." Minimum usage during episode 3: 7x
I am not loving any of the designers yet. I am looking forward to next week so that we can hopefully see what each designers taste and style are without limitations (pajamas, pet food and partners).
I was not in love with any design this week. I was eh about the red dress. The green outfit was okay. I might have liked it better in a different color. The blue/brown separates killed me. The hairs was *terrible*. Seriously. They have sent people home for poor styling and I might have this week if I were a judge. :P
Bert is driving me batty. He is a jerk and whiny. I loved his week one look. I was annoyed week two because he didn't do the challenge because he had immunity. If I were there, I would be trying to win each week and definitely not coast on weeks I was safe. His garment this week was awful. Way costume.

I loooooved the red outfit. The green one would have won if it weren't for that collar piece. I didn't like the chiffon one at all. It was really "old lady" to me.
I disliked Bert's attitude a lot. Very off-putting. I still like Anthony Ryan the most. His partner, from St. Louis, still seems a little snooty to me, but I don't know.

First I wanted to comment about last week b/c I was all late into that, but I *hated* Olivier's winning outfit last week. HATED it. It went against the whole "don't use fabric" rule that they knocked others out with. And it just looked incredibly horribly fitted and just plain ugly -- I would never wear anything like that top. I am in shock over how many liked it. And I liked Fallene's last time! I think she was unfairly in the bottom last time and I think it killed her for this challenge, which is so sad. I really thought those 2 would be reversed when they pulled the 6 out.
as for this week, the only one I liked was the green one and I actually didn't have a problem with the collar.
The red one flowed, but the top was butt ugly. Made the model look incredibly short-torsoed (I know, they were in stilts, but still!) and frumpy. Of course, that is nothing compared to the frump of the blue and brown. I really liked those designers so I'm glad they did well, but just UGH on the old-ladiness of it.
Overall, I think the judges needed to do a better job of explaining they didn't want costumes, because HELLO, stilts definitely lend themselves to being costumey and it made me feel a bit bad for the bottom group.
And the guy with the matador outfit totally needs to stop bedazzling quite so much. I mean, my girls *love* sparkle, but they're not fashion designers...
