  • Highlights? Nothing in particular - just a good weekend with a lot of quality time with DH and DD.
    
  • Lowlights? Pulled a muscle in my neck going down a water slide at my nephew's birthday party...yeah, I'm like 80 years old.
    
  • Read any good books? Planned on starting The Hunger Games but my Kindle was dead and I still haven't plugged it in - whoops.
    
  • Watch any good movies/shows? Went to see The Help. It was really well done and I imagine it was hard to condense a 450 page book into a two hour movie. The characters were great and pretty spot on to how I imagined them while reading the book. Laughed and cried - great movie and even better book.
    
  • Eat/make anything scrumptious? Made chilli last night since the rainy weather made me feel like comfort food - it was good and leftovers for lunch today!
    
  • Any vents/confessions/comments? I am so over Summer and ready for fall. Bring on apple cider, crisp fall days, sweaters, pumpkin spice candles...I could go on and on.

  • Highlights? Taking Gracie to the beach.
    
  • Lowlights? Gracie overdid it and got limp tail Saturday evening. Luckily the aspirin worked and she felt better before bedtime.
    
  • Read any good books? Still reading The Art of Racing in the Rain and I really like it.
    
  • Watch any good movies/shows? We watched The Switch the other night - it was okay. Loved True Blood last night! This is my favorite season yet.
    
  • Eat/make anything scrumptious? I made Kathryn's cajun potato salad yesterday and it was great. I also had one of those delicious bacon spinach souffle's from Panera Saturday too.
    
  • Any vents/confessions/comments? Can't think of anything yet.

  Highlights? Brunch with my college friends who finally got to meet DS! Lowlights? Last weekend before going back to work And more specifically, getting caught in a downpour leaving the grocery store. I couldn't run because I had flip flops on so I was DRENCHED. Read any good books? No Watch any good movies/shows? We finally saw Avatar. It was on TV so not 3D but I really liked it. Eat/make anything scrumptious? Ummm...no. Any vents/confessions/comments? Today is my first day back at work and DS's first day at daycare so I am sad. I posted about it on TB.

  • Highlights? Seeing everybody at Rag's playdate on Saturday and sleeping in until 9:30 yesterday morning!!  I slept so much I was sore!
  • Lowlights? We didn't go out for any meals this weekend
  • Read any good books?  I'm still working my way through last month's book club book
  • Watch any good movies/shows? Nope - there are new Dora episodes on "On Demand" though (sad, sad observation)
  • Eat/make anything scrumptious?  Dani's peach bars at the playdate were pretty awesome and steamed crabs on Saturday were good too!
  • Any vents/confessions/comments?  I REALLY, REALLY wanted to call in sick today and sleep, but my assistant and boss are both out on vacation and I didn't want to mess everybody else up.

  • Highlights? Playgroup on Saturday was fun, it was so nice to see everyone's LOs growing up and catch up with people. Also DS slept til 8:30 on saturday and 9:00 yesterday. What did I do to deserve that??
    
  • Lowlights? Well it's not the weekend but this morning has sucked....DS was up crying at 5:30, I got drenched running to my car from day care this morning, and I found out my nana is in the hospital with a possible heart attack.
    
  • Read any good books? No
    
  • Watch any good movies/shows? Nothing is sticking out in my mind
    
  • Eat/make anything scrumptious? I devoured the shrimp and pasta salad that Dani made on Saturday....I seriously want to make a huge batch and hoard it and not share with anyone
    
  • Any vents/confessions/comments? We (and when I say we, I mean DH) need to get cracking on baby #2's room. It's still our office and the carpet, wallpaper, and ginormous computer desk all have to go. Sean's room wasn't done til I was 39 weeks and I would rather not have to deal with that again.

  Highlights?  Dinner at Brewer's Art for restaurant week!  It was an excellent choice for us.

  Lowlights?  Refridgerator broke and stopped cooling. $200 later, we're back up & running. 

  Read any good books?  Reading The Girl Who Played with Fire.

  Watch any good movies/shows?  Not really.  Saw part of Source Code, which is slightly boring but need to get through the rest of it.

  Eat/make anything scrumptious?  Delicious dinner at Brewer's Art! 

  Any vents/confessions/comments?  Can't think of any yet.

  Carrie, I'm sorry to read about your Nana - I hope she's okay!

  Highlights? The play date at Lisa's was a blast! Mia was elated to spend time in the pool and it was nice to meet so many Bumpies.  

  Lowlights?  I got unfairly aggravated with DH yesterday - not a shining moment for me.  It was short-lived, thankfully, and he doesn't hold a grudge.

  Read any good books?  I devoured three books by Deanna Raybourn.  Her Lady Julia Grey series grabbed me and pulled me in.  I'm sad that there aren't anymore for me to read now, though! It's going to be awhile before the next book comes out.

  Watch any good movies/shows?  True Blood was great!  

  Eat/make anything scrumptious?  I was pretty happy with my playdate contributions!

  Any vents/confessions/comments?  I should be filing for unemployment right now, since today is my first official day without a job.  I'll take care of it shortly.  I'm just dreading the process.

  • Watch any good movies/shows? No tv this weekend.
    
  • Eat/make anything scrumptious? Mexican Ice Cream from lsgarver's blog. I ended up adding 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper. It was a bit hot and tasted better with whipped cream. The food at casa de rags and the dinner I went to was wonderful.
    
  • Any vents/confessions/comments?  AW - I got out the door with all of our stuff, dropped DD off at dcp and was still on time/early for work.

  Highlights? Went to Eat, Drink, Go Local with DH. Lowlights? The food at Eat, Drink, Go Local...such a RIPOFF! Also, the monsoon...we discovered a leak that we'll have to repair this coming weekendRead any good books? Nope, I need to make a trip to the libraryWatch any good movies/shows? The Lincoln Lawyer Eat/make anything scrumptious? Grilled Brats & corn on the cob. There's nothing better than grilled food in the summer!Any vents/confessions/comments? Every single member of my immediate family has something major going on right now (lil sis found out her pregnancy is ectopic, mom had to get a dog euthanized, dad had a dog pass away & he's in a bit of financial trouble) & I hate that I can't be closer to home to support them :-/

  • Read any good books? Ugh, no. Still trying to finish "The Great Gatsby" but haven't been reading much lately
  • Watch any good movies/shows? Nope
  • Eat/make anything scrumptious? Dinner at Charleston was AH-mazing. Locally grown and just fantastic! Also had crabs yesterday
  • Any vents/confessions/comments? The weather yesterday kind of put a damper on the crab feast...but at least we were eating crabs!

  Highlights? lots of fun at a birthday party on Saturday.  So thankful for my great friends who are like family.
  Lowlights? it went by too quickly
  Read any good books? finished A Stolen LIfe
  Watch any good movies/shows? nope
  Eat/make anything scrumptious? I prepped and froze a bushel of peaches that Aiden and I picked on Friday.  I made peach cobbler and DH made a yummy peach compote for our pancakes for breakfast
  Any vents/confessions/comments? only one week left of break and maternity leave...so not ready to go back
