What were your highs and lows of the weekend?
Re: Weekend
High - Getting to see my cousin on Saturday night and crying from laughing too hard.
Low - Woke up yesterday with a sore throat and a major headache.
High- DH and I celebrating our 1st anniversary.
Low- Not getting to go to Greenfield village because the weather looked like it wasn't going to cooperate, only to have it be a pretty nice day on Saturday :
Serendipity3, South Beach, Miami, FL 2012
High: We FINALLY used our wedding china for the first time on Friday! It's only been 3 years.
I was pretty much determined to use it, so I pulled out a few plates when my friend came over for dinner.
Low: DH's Dad was in the hospital overnight, so we were pretty scared for him. Luckily he is fine, but no one is sure what exactly happened (apparently he was just kind of delirious and out of it for 2 days).
Glad he's alright Mara! How scary.
Did he start taking any new medications or anything that might have caused it?
High: Campign with my family and getting some great finds garage saling along M-25.
Low: Spent an hour sitting on 96 due to a rollover accident on Thursday and on Sunday spending another hour sitting on 94 due to another accident. Needless to say I was starting to get irritated with traffic.
High: DH surprising me with date night on Friday and then Kid Rock on Saturday. The concert was awesome!
Low: Having to take my pup in for another surgery on Friday. He's doing fine, but I hope this is the last one
High: Took DD to the county fair that I grew up going to as a kid. I've taken her each year since she's been born. It's a nice tradition I hope to do, since down in this area county fairs aren't as popular as I grew up. It was also DH's 1st time to a fair as well (we did go to a concert at the Fowlerville Fair once, but that was all we did at the fair), since he grew up in the Chicago suburbs. My mom & aunt watched Joshua at home.
Low: the cold I rec'd probably from VBS last week, but it came on strong yesterday & i think the kids have it too
It's August, not the time to get a cold!
I don't think so. He is diabetic, and DH and I are wondering if his blood-sugar levels were off and made him that way (although usually he is very good at keeping it under control). They live a few hours away, so it's hard to get 100% of the story over the phone. Apparently tests came back fairly clear, so they don't know what happened....and he is feeling fine and back to normal now, so we're hoping it was just a fluke!
High - seeing my friend, her new baby, watching her get married, and then having a great time at her reception. I'm so glad that I was there to see it all.
Low - the 12 1/2 hour drive home yesterday from Minneapolis. We were up late for the reception (probably went to bed around 2 a.m.), but still got up at 8 a.m. (MN time) and drove all the way home. We finally pulled in the drive a little after 9:30 p.m. after making a quick stop in Grand Rapids on our way home to get the dog. We are both exhausted today.
