Maybe I've missed this or never noticed; but apparently a lot of people think they're gay and should get married.
Have you heard of this or thought this? Article

Didn't they sleep in the same bed on the show?
Or was that a youtube joke video? I don't really remember.
They slept in seperate beds.
I LOVED Seseme Street when I was younger. Never for a second did I think anything funny was going on there when I was a kid...I just enjoyed watching it
Maybe I was weird- or gay was something around in my life or something. Because I totally thought they were a couple when I was growing up.
But I didn't think there was anything wrong with that.
There is a huge controversy about it now. I think it is a bit ridiculous though. I understand where both sides are coming from.
Got me, I always thought they were brothers. And they had separate twin beds - Erin's headboard had an E, Bert's had a B.
I don't really get the point of caring if they're gay or not.
Why do we even need to label them at all??
Let kids think what they think and learn what they learn. Isn't that part of what's supposed to be great about kids programs?
ETA: I understand why people think it would send an "it's okay to be different" message. But sometimes I get so tired of our culture feeling like everyone needs to be labeled as gay or not. And I mean this beyond sexual orientation too. Labels put people in a "black or white" grouping and I think that's so unnecessary sometimes.
