I was happy with whoever won....and at the same time kind of sad about someone losing. I was just sorry that Vic didn't get to make a pilot too.
DH wanted FN to give both of them shows.lol
I can see why they chose Jeff though....he's going to be easier to throw into press junkets and live appearances. He is quick thinking and funny and outgoing.
I thought the 'focus group' was weird. They all looked really ticked off. Penny was so weird...such a b!tch about Susie's show and actually gushing over Jeff's. Penny gushing is kind of creepy.lol
Me too! And his leaving was one of the most gracious speeches I've heard in a long while. Reminded me of the class the chefs showed on the "Masters" edition of chopped.
Last season, Aarti (the winner) wasn't the only one who ended up w/ a show, so I'm sure Suzie and/or Vic will get one eventually as well.
I think Jeff's show will be great though. He made it easy for them- sticking to his POV the whole time, he already has his tagline...like the other Suzie (the judge) said, he makes her job really easy.
As much as I wanted Suzie I sorta figured Jeff would win. Suzie (the judge) said she would love to market his idea and that sorta sealed the deal I think.
I agree, I think Suzie ( the contestant) will show up elsewhere on the network
I think I would have been happy either way.
But I was really glad he won.
I don't watch Food network all the time, but I can't think of another sandwich show so I figured they were going to pick him.

Yay Jeff! I'm so excited to see his show... does anyone know when it's on? I just saw a few commercials for it tonight and it looks really great. And, who doesn't love a sandwich?! I think it'll be a great show that people can really relate to.
I would have been ok with Jeff or Suzie but with that other new mexican-food-related show, I wondered what they would do with two. They made the right choice in my book!
