It is pouring here, which I quite like. I enjoy a morning rain. Hope it doesn't do this tomorrow or the rest of the week though!
Had a great weekend, Gerren kicked ASSS in his cycling event, I have never been more proud of him! And my first double digit run (woof!) was rough but I survived. Really tired though!
Tomorrow I have a wedding shower up north so I will be taking off of work. Then another wedding this weekend. And the fair (if it isn't raining!) that Gerren and I have been going to since we were kids.
That is about it, already a busy morning, so I will try to come back and visit later today!
Re: Monday
A wedding shower on a Tuesday? What the what?
Congrats to Mr. G on his cycling and to you on your double digit run. Good work Gs!
MFD wants a keurig and has been working on it since we left our friends' house in MD. hahahha
We had a great weekend! So relaxing and nice with exceptional food as always. And great sleep. The ride home was very fretful though. Christ!
Forgot my umbrella today even though I was caught in a mfing downpour last week. I did not learn.
I wish I could've slept in, this weather lends itself to sleeping.
agreed!
I just a had a long monday message written and I hit a button on the mouse and it sent me back a screen so now i'm annoyed.....
I can't breathe at all and feel like crap. Want to go home, but i'm on an interview panel this afternoon and would feel bad if I bailed.
Had cousin's wedding in chicago saturday night. Was small but great.
that's all i'm going to write in fear the mouse gods might make my big man hands hit a button again.
Morning ladies. It's Monday, hubs went to work early this morning, and what a weekend we had.
Mostly boring. H worked at work Saturday morning and on a car in the afternoon/evening, so I was home along working on catching up my scrapbooking. I haven't even STARTED the wedding book. shame. Finished about 6 pages before a storm blew up about dinner time and knocked out our power. Just ours and one neighbor. Couldn't really make dinner b/c I couldn't run the oven and didn't want to open and shut the fridge tons of times. Spent too much money eating out b/c it didn't come back on til 8 last night. Apparently a fuse popped at the end of our line. yay. You forget how much you use electricity. for everything. Was such a boring Sunday for the most part. Couldn't even do anything outside cause it was icky and rainy all day.
maybe I can do some more scrapping today. Who knows.
Props to Mr. G for his ride and to you Shauni for your run!
I want to see these $13 bookshelves too! Jealous.
Moleson, I have issues with posting about half the time. I can usually save it by hitting back and my post is still there. Although every now and then I end up with a duplicate post though, so it isn't foolproof.
Morning. I'm feeling optimistic about things right now. We had a nice weekend. We went to the 94.9 Comedy Jam. Saw Gabriel Iglesias, Jo Koy, Dave Chappel, Chris Tucker and Kat Williams. It was pretty freaking hilarious. It was my first time at the Shoreline, and I'm not a big fan of the stadium.
Sunday was our cleaning day. We cleaned everything and did so many loads of laundry. Once we were done cleaning we popped open a cold beer and watched Mad Men. I can't believe Peggy had a baby! WTH?!?! We're still on season one, and hope to complete it within the next few days.
Today we are moving. The company is moving to another location a few blocks away. Just the offices are moving and the warehouse at the end of the month. I hate moving, but hopefully the office move will go smoothly.
Ooooh, Monday again? Curses!
Had a very nice weekend with my BFF and her 6-year old daughter visiting. H had a hockey tourney in Tahoe but was home Friday night for their local playoff game. BFF and I finished my Babies 'R Us registry, letting her daughter work the scan gun. Great fun! Then we started perusing the $5 clearance racks, and the deals were amazing! I got a huge bag of stuff for $70, and it was all great. Like, an FAO Schwarz outfit for a friend having a girl, and some amazing knit stuff for Predator that was originally $30+, and some 5-packs of Carter's onesies. Wowza.
I'm putting myself on a shopping moratorium, though, because the closet is stuffed with clothes for Predator, and I haven't even received several eBay packages, two of which have 10+ items. Oops.
I got into mad men through netflix about 2 years ago. Nice way to get me through hunting/ice fishing season when J was gone all the time. :-) Im up to date now and waiting for the new season to start. LOVE the show. Donald draper is a pig, but a sexy one!
stop with the spoilers!
gerren hates the show, so i have to find time to watch it when he is not around (boo, hiss). So i am only 4 episodes in (saddest thing ever). i cannot wait to watch more!

Hello Everyone! H and I had a fun weekend. Saturday night we went to see Maroon 5 and Train in concert with some friends. They were absolutely AMAZING! Saturday and Sunday we pretty much just bummed around, went grocery shopping, and out to breakfast. Saturday was also very sad because it was the one-year anniversary of my best friend's death. I miss her now more than ever.
Today is my first of three days off before I start my new job on Thursday. It would have been nice to have this whole week, or better yet, not start until after H's and my vacation next month, but they wanted me to start ASAP. Today I got an oil change for my car and have been doing a bunch of chores around the house.
Tomorrow the plan is to run some errands around town and go shopping for new puppy stuff
.
Friday was my last day at my old job, and even though I told myself I wasn't going to cry, I lost it right before I left when my co-worker gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek and got all choked up. Everyone in my old office are best friends and it will be a huge adjustment not seeing them every day. Between my new job and new puppy coming soon though, good changes are happening that are just what I need to get out of a rut.
Good luck! Hope it goes ok!
I need these $13 bookshelves!
Uneventful weekend. We went to see "The Help" Saturday afternoon. J never read the book and was a little skeptical but laughed his butt off. The movie was, actually, almost as good as the book!
Yesterday we celebrated J's birthday. My parents, sis and nephew came up. We grilled hamburgers and had the yummy red velvet cake with ice cream. After they left, we crashed and had pizza for supper. J's dad called to wish him a happy bday and said "I figured y'all would've come down here for your birthday." Um no sorry. We go there at least once a month since we've moved here and that 4 hour drive gets old, fast. Why don't YOU come see YOUR son on HIS birthday jackass. /rant.
Oh thought I might be preggers, test said no but I've still been getting quesy at the same time, every day.
Oops! My lips are sealed

Hey guys. Busy day today, which I deserve since I didn't come in Friday
After my margarita lunch, a bunch of us left work early to go to happy hour so it was a pretty ridiculous day. I hadn't eaten so I was not doing too well after. I feel really bad, because we had to cancel our dinner plans and Jeff was not happy. I deserved that, it was pretty irresponsible of me but it was one of those situations where I really didn't know how much I was drinking, and common sense just went out the window. It's not like I deliberately said, "Ah, screw it, we'll skip dinner" - in fact, the whole time I was saying I couldn't wait to go to Fogo, not realizing that I was a leeetle far gone for that. Oh well. I think I'm out of the doghouse, and I've learned a valuable lesson about lunchtime drinking.
We're getting everything in order for our upcoming trip to Seattle, and I'm really excited! Also, MIL is getting a puppy on September 17th and I just found out that we get to go with them. It will be so awesome - she's been getting daily e-mails with pictures and they are SO cute!
Ah, boozing gets the best of all of us at times. Reschedule Fogo and call it a day!
What kind of puppy are they getting?
Oh, we will, it's just a bummer because it was Restaurant Week so it would be cheap(er), and they get booked so fast that this is the third time we've tried but the first time we've gotten a reservation. It's ok though!
And she's getting a golden retriever. This will be the third they've had, it's a popular breed in his family!
Thank you Mush and thank you Mary! I was nervous but it was fine and I was done within 15 minutes after laying on the table. Tubes are nice & clear, no wishy washy of the dye in my uterus. And the doctor didn't even have to use a lot of the dye, whoot!
