Re: Interview me !
Are you ready for Gabriella to be here?
What don't you have done yet?
Bubbler or Water Fountain?
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Best way to avoid the "stranger belly grab"?
What's your favorite food?
Do you like your job?
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant?
If you could create any nursery (despite cost), what would it look like? (PIP?)
What's your favorite meal?
One childhood memory you can't wait to recreate with your child(ren)?
Are you ready for Gabriella to be here? Definitely ! Since the nursery is now done, I don't have much to do to occupy my time waiting for her to arrive.
What don't you have done yet? I need to start to pack my hospital bag. I have a list of things I want to pack but haven't even started.
Bubbler or Water Fountain? Bubbler
How many pairs of shoes do you own? Oh, gosh ! Do flip-flops count as shoes? If so, I'd say a couple hundred. J was putting my 50 Gal flip-flop tote back in the basement yesterday and commented that he thinks I have some sort of disorder b/c of how many pairs I have. If we are just talking shoes, I'd say about 150ish. Under our bed is completely full with my shoes, I have an "over the door" shoe organizer on our bedroom door and I have about 4-5 tubs of shoes in the basement. The thing is, I only really wear the same couple of pairs. Most are special occasion shoes that I refuse to throw away "just in case" I need them. I have a feeling I will be a bad influence on Gabby.
Best way to avoid the "stranger belly grab"? I wish I knew ! The only thing that has saved me from it is to tell them that I have an upset stomach or it's "very sensitive" right now. People still try. The worst is when someone KNOWS you don't like to have it touched and still asks/tries.
What's your favorite food? Pizza....hands down !
Do you like your job? It's not all that bad, for a job. I have my own office and my boss just moved his to a different floor. I'll be moving mine soon (closer to him) but right now it's really really quiet. There really is only 3 days a month where it's really busy and the rest is just doing normal day-to-day stuff. The only downside to my job is that I can't change my schedule too much once the baby is here. I would love it if I were able to work from home a day or 2 a week, but that's not happening.

What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? Being able to finally use those "special" parking spots at CVS.
That and not feeling bad when I want to order a large sundae or any other junk food.
If you could create any nursery (despite cost), what would it look like? (PIP?) I kind of like what Brooke Burk(e?) did for her daughter.I love canpies over cribs and am extremely jealous of anyone that has a large room to use as a nursery.
What's your favorite meal? Probably the veal parm. that I get from a little Italian place near where I live.
One childhood memory you can't wait to recreate with your child(ren)? Building sand castles at the beach. We would go to the beach almost every day in the summer (my mom was a SAHM at the time) and we would just love to play in the sand.

Ha! I forgot about those parking spots! You lucky duck!
Love that nursery!!! I really love the boarded ceiling!
I'm sad to say that I don't have many beach memories as a child. No worries, my children will have enough to make up for me.
I SO badly just want to grab them right back and see how they like it. If someone catches me on a bad day it might just happen!
I actually told a few coworkers (when they asked to touch it) that they would lose their hand if they touched my stomach. I never understand why people think it's ok to touch/grope/infiltrate my personal space just because I have a baby in there.

What's been your craziest pregnancy craving?
If you could eat anything right now, what would it be?
Best meal you've ever had?
What color is your toothbrush?
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Most random thing on your desk right now?
What's one thing you really wish you could change about yourself?
Day trip would be up to the outlets in Maine for some shopping fun. Weekend trip would be down the Cape for some R&R.
Yes, I went to UMass-Lowell.

If you could eat anything right now, what would it be? Pizza. I just got back from the OB and one of the nurses had one delivered. The smell made my mouth water!
Best meal you've ever had? Baked Stuffed Lobster from a place in Salem, MA. Everything about it was yummy ! It had the right amount of stuffing and not too many "filler" ingrediants. I hate it when they fill it with a bunch of shrimp or scallops.
What color is your toothbrush? White. It's an Oral-B electric toothbrush
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Italy but only if my whole extended family could move as well. As much as I would love living there, I couldn't deal with not being able to see my family.
Most random thing on your desk right now? A Hawaiian Lei. A coworker decorated my door with tropical stuff a few weeks back for my b-day so I just kept the lei on my desk.
What's one thing you really wish you could change about yourself? I tend to be a bit of a push-over at work. I'm always afraid that telling someone like it is will get me in trouble or fired. There's one lady that doesn't hold back and I wish I was like that ( although, some people don't like her b/c of it)

What was the scariest part of doing IVF?
Will you do it again if you have to for a sibling?
How are you feeling lately?
How was the creation of the nursery decor (it is beautiful, btw)?
If Gabriella had been a boy, what would his name have been?
Stand up for something you believe in.
What was the scariest part of doing IVF? Having zero control over, well, anything. I hated not knowing what exact day the retrieval or transfer would fall on. Since every person's body responds differently, there is no way to schedule either ahead of time. I got 1 day's notice for the retrival but didn't know what day I would have to go back for the transfer until the morning-of (it all depended on how the embryos were growing). Thankfully the transfer fell on a Saturday or I would have ended up having to call in "sick" to work 2 days in the same week.
Will you do it again if you have to for a sibling? If money weren't a factor, yes. We maxed out the infertility coverage that my company offers (J's doesn't offer anything IF related) . So unless one of us changes jobs, the entire $30K will be OOP for us.
How are you feeling lately? Not too bad. I hate to complain, though, since there are so many people out there that would kill to be pregnant. I'm just moving slower now-a-days, have the normal aches & pains and daily bouts of heartburn. All par for the course.
How was the creation of the nursery decor (it is beautiful, btw)? It went well. It actually gave me something to do so that I wouldn't go entirely crazy. While going through IF treatments and the beginning of my pregnancy, I would see the doctors very frequently. Once I was released from the RE and treated like a normal OB patient, I just saw the docs once a month. Doing stuff for the nursery kept me busy between appointements. Time was dragging for awhile and planning my next project made time go by quicker. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do for the next 8 weeks now that it's done !
If Gabriella had been a boy, what would his name have been? No clue. We started to look at names for both sexes but couldn't decide. We waited until after the anatomy scan (when we found out she was a she) to just concentrate on girl names. J liked more English names like Austin where-as I liked Italian one's like Anthony/Antonio.
