Toddler Bed - Bedding

We'll be moving G to a toddler bed soon - my mom wants to buy her new bedding for Christmas. However, I started thinking - does she even need bedding? I anticipate she'll probably just use the random assortment of bedding/covers the uses now. Any insight? Debating on getting the bedding or waiting until she's older....Thanks!

I wouldn't only because a toddler bed is so much smaller than a twin bed, that if you move her to a twin/full size bed, you'll have to get new again.

We skipped the toddler bed and went straight for a larger bed. If we would have done toddler I don't think I would do the bedding because they are in it for a shorter period of time.

The toddler bed uses the same size mattress as a crib, therefore the same bedding you've been using should continue to work. If you want to get her new bedding as part of making the transition special and part of a "big girl move," then it could be fun, but definitely not a necessity until she's in a twin sized bed or bigger.

We got a set for M. He barely used the toddler bed and wasn't quite old enough to pull blankets over him or anything either. You could do without it, but our set was under $30 at Target so it didn't feel like a huge waste to use for a short time.
