Atlanta Restaurants

Hey everyone! I am in Atlanta for a few days with my husband. He has a work thing here and I was lucky enough to be able to come with him.

It's my birthday today, so my husband told me to look up some restaurants to go to but I'm having a hard time.

I am a pick eater. I like pastas, cheese, potatoes, and steak. Sometimes I'm in the mood for chicken.

We ate at an Italian restaurant yesterday, so no Italian today.

I have looked into eating at Fogo de Chao. I like that you can eat all that buffet food. But I am a bit confused about how the meat part of the dinner works. Can anyone help me out with that?

We would probably like to spend under $50 for the two of us. Any suggestions would be helpful!

  • fogo for dinner would be at least $50 per person. they bring meat on a stick by your table and slice it for you. it's very tasty.

where are you staying? do you have a car? that would good to know so we could make some suggestions.

where did y'all go for italian?

  • Oh wow, that is expensive.

We are staying in Druid Hills I believe. We have a car.

We ate at Alfredo's I think it was called. It was by an Ethiopian restaurant.

  • go to open table and look for restaurants around virginia highlands. that shouldn't be too far from you and should give you some options.
  • Good cheap eats: La Fonda Latina, Eats (yep, it's called Eats), Fellinis pizza, Doc Cheys. All are convenient to Druid Hills. Also, check out Buford Highway if you like ethnic food. Lots of good food over that way.

Good, more expensive eats: Lots of restaurant reviews in my bio.

  • I second the La Fonda suggestion. There is one on Ponce so it shouldn't be too far from Virginia Highlands.

  • Happy Birthday!!!

I love LaFonda! If you go, try the Cuban steak sandwich. Its so good!

You may also want to try Chow Baby on Ponce. Its a stir fry place. I'm not into stir fry but a lot of people like it.

Loca Luna or Eclipse de Luna are good tapas places. Both have live music almost every night and Loca Luna has all you can eat tapas for $15/each on Tuesdays.
