Re: Pregnancy tests

  • I always prefered the dollar store kind myself.  They were the same ones my doctor uses.

  • I like the ones that say "pregnant" or "not pregnant" because I always overanalyze the line and end up going to buy them anyway.  That said, you can buy super cheap ones on amazon.
  • Walgreen's digital. You can get 2 for $10. Plus, fertility friend says they are one of the most sensitive...better percentage sooner.

  • Personally, I hate the digital tests.  The words "not pregnant" are not an ideal way for me to start off my day.  But that might just 18 months of POAS talking.  I've also been told they're less sensitive.  Dollar store tests are my preference.

  • I bought the little strip kind online.  I bought them 30 at a time..  I was not patient about testing!
  • I got a very early positive with a dollar tree test.

  • I bought dollar store tests by the dozen (literally almost a dz per month)- I always felt compelled to pee on a stick. haha And then I had some digitals (store brand) for when I questioned what the cheapo stick said (which was only the month I got my BFP).
    Photobucket
  • I like the $ store ones.  Like HP said, I'm not fond of seeing the Not Pregnant.  I am also cheap.  I like the $ store ovulation tests too.  I use a fertility monitor, but I confirm with the OPKs.

  • My preference were the fact plus tests because the line went a different way and I didn't feel like maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me.  However, I took every kind there was when I got a BFP because I was a bit obsessive about it.

The dollar store ones are just as good as any others.

  • I was a big fan of the digital. I tested at 9dpo with accurate results Embarrassed
  • I'm also a fan of digital, you can buy them relativly cheap on Amazon. But that "not pregnant" is a slap in the face.

I recently bought some of the early test strips w/ ovulation strips..I havent tried them yet, but they seem easier to conceal, if needbe..

  • Not seeing a line, or seeing "not pregnant" is the same to me.  It's the AF ruining my day, week, month that upsets me the most.

Amen.  I had another failed cycle, before I even got a chance to test.   Stupid short LP.

  • Um I would start with the $1 store test, then follow-up a possible positive with a FRER (First Response Early Response), then follow that positive up with a Clear Blue Digital...  Embarrassed

Stay away from BLUE DYE tests.  If the lines are blue, don't buy those, they are famous all over different boards for having evap lines which look like false positives.

I obviously do not POAS enough.
  • I prefer to stock up on Dollar store pgncy tests, if I get a positive, I also have a stash of digital ones. :)
  • I used a cheaper one from Walgreens first then a First Response to make sure. Either way good luck :)
