Any pregnancy books to recommend?
So... I guess this is actually happening!
I've heard bad things about 'What to expect when you're expecting' and was hoping for a less scary option. I'm a reader and I would like to have something to get started with, I don't have many friends with kids and they're all in the states so I'm kind of all alone in this here.
Anyone have a good suggestion for me?

My friend gave me What to Expect... and The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy. I have not looked at what to expect yet, but I have read the first few chapters of Girlfriends guide...it seems ok so far...not scary!
We will be due near each other, so we can commiserate together!
A big fat hell no to What to Expect. I hate that book.
I bought DH The Expectant Father and I have been reading it mostly. It is pretty good! Other than that I like BabyCenter online.
Good luck! I am so happy for you and it is such an exciting time. Everyone says it but enjoy it because it goes by soooo quickly.
My Israel Blog!
I have Great Expectations and I really liked both the format and the information it provided. Looked at What to Expect and didn't like it at all.
Congratulations.
