Mine was good! We had a lazy day yesterday which was so awesome. I also got a lot done around the house.
I did get stung by a bee. In the face. That was annoying.
Re: How was your weekend?
Oh no, that sucks! I hope it's not too swollen/itchy. I once woke up while traveling and realized that I could only see out of one eye. Naturally I started freaking the heck out and ran to a mirror. Turns out something had bitten me in the middle of the night and my eye was swollen nearly shut. It's fantastic having an itchy bug bite that you can't put anything on.
We had a pretty good weekend too. Friday and Saturday were basically the same--volleyball followed by dinner with friends. The weather was so gorgeous both days it was really nice to be outside enjoying it.
Yesterday we just ran errands for the most part. We did get into a parking lot rage battle with a nut job in the Target parking lot. He came flying out of an aisle and turned towards us as we drove straight ahead in a main lane (so we clearly had right of way). DH had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting him. And he got pissed at us and proceeded to follow us, honking the whole time and stopped within inches of our car. So my hot head got out and started screaming at him by his passenger side window. I was so angry that he'd nearly caused an accident and then had the gall to somehow think it was our fault.
Even though he insisted on pursuing us he was too much of a wuss to even roll down his window to talk to us so I heard not a word of what he had to say. We get back in the car, drive to the end of the aisle, and he proceeds to cut us off from the left (i.e. going down the opposite traffic lane). @sshole.
Rock, that story is crazy!
My weekend was non-stop crazy busy. We went to 5 open houses yesterday, because now we're in comparison-mode and basically seeing what our house will be competing against.
DH is on vacation this week but seems to have woken up this morning with a stomach virus
He's back in bed, DS is eating apples in his high chair next to me, and I'm getting caught up on emails for the rescue (which there are, literally, like 20+ from the last 24 hours). Obviously I'm easily distracted.
Oh no, I hope DH is better soon! It sucks to be sick while on vacation. I hope he can use a sick day instead of real vacation time at least.
How come you're not listed on the rescue website?
I think it's mostly directors listed on the site. I am an adoption coordinator, so I screen the applications and call their vet, landlord, animal control, and I also keep in touch with the foster parents and make sure everything it going well. And I'm training to be an evaluator so I can go into shelters and help determine which dogs we should try to place in our foster homes.
After this weekend, I have nine applicants to contact and call their references. I was hoping DH would be able to give me a hand with DS but now I don't think I want them anywhere near each other so I need to wait until DS's nap.
Oh wow, Rock, that's insane! What an assclownface that guy is. Sheesh.
Camedown, I hope your face isn't too swollen. And LadyE, I hope your husband is feeling better soon! It sucks to be sick on your vacation.
My weekend was good. We just hung out on Saturday - watched some tv, read, and I napped to get over my cold. We watched Paul, which was pretty solid, but definitely my least favorite of the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost movies.
Yesterday, we went into town to do a little shopping - he has job interview tomorrow and wanted a new shirt, and I have a job interview tomorrow and needed some make-up. Then we hit up Borders at downtown crossing, which was so sad. Though I did get 5 books and a dvd for $58 - most of the books are 40% off, and the dvd was 4 bucks.. I would have bought more, but I stopped myself. Then we grabbed a slice and some gelato in the North End, and walked back to grab the train at MGH, then hit up the grocery store and walked home. It was nice, but I was so sweaty and gross by the time we got home, ugh.
Weekend was alright... busy though! I had a friend's baby shower on Saturday and our all day childbirth education class on Sunday.
CDC- ouch! glad it wasn't a bad reaction though!
LadyE- hope your husband feels better soon!
Rock- scary!
Rock, thats crazy!
My weekend was actually really nice. Spent Friday night at a party my sister was having. It was nice even though I didn't really know anyone. Saturday my sister, niece, sisters BF, my mom, and I all spent the day at the Bolton Fair. It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day. H and I went to a Jack & Jill Saturday night for an hour or so. Yesterday was a cookout at SIL's house. It was awesome.
Bees and wasps seem to love pregnant women. I was bit by 2 wasps while pregnant!
Weekend was fine. We were in Boston. Exhausting. DS would only sleep in bed with me. No naps. 9 hour travel day yesterday. So tired.
Upside: the party went well at MIL's and he got a crapton of books as gifts, which I always like! (he got a lot of clothes too, but books are good!)
He is not coping with me being back to work well at all today.
We had a good weekend - busy though.
Saturday DH and I played in a golf tournament in CT. DH's family does a family reunion every 5 years but each year as a fundraiser they do a golf tourney. This was the first year we've been able to play in it and had a lot of fun! We actually ended up coming in 2nd place - I won longest drive for the ladies and DH won closest to the pin for the guys. Not to mention it was a gorgeous day to be outside all day. After the tourney we went back to DH's aunt and uncle's place for a cookout. Yummy food!
Sunday we drove to see DH's dad for the afternoon. Got back at 7:30 or so - got Chinese and watched HGTV. Such a nice way to cap off the weekend!
Your poor husband Lady E!
Exhausting
Flew home with DD on Friday afternoon. After spending a week with my MIL who drives me up a wall
Hung out with DD on Saturday and started to do the mounds of laundry from our "vacation". DD woke up several times during the night
Welcomed DH home and continued the mounds of laundry.
Oh, and DD and I both have colds. Good times.
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

The weekend was ok...
No bee stings, or parking lot rage (oh my.... I just don't understand people sometimes!)
Friday was the last night of Ballet... so much fun, can not wait to do it again next summer! (Plus I lost like 5 pounds over the two weeks!)
Saturday was a lazy day (well, after Zumba it was a lazy day...) We went to Citizen Public House for dinner for the first time. We live across the street from the Franklin Cafe in the South End, so when we heard they were opening a new place in Fenway, we really wanted to check it out. I'm not sure what took us so long to get over there, but sooooooo glad we made it. Everything was really amazing! Can't wait to go back.
Yesterday, I went to the gym, then we went to the SOWA market for a while. We ate yummy junk food from the food trucks for lunch before stopping by the farmers market. For dinner, we headed over to SO's brother's house for dinner. We love going over there because our niece is the cutest 18 month old every.
She is so much fun to hang out with. She just loves for me to pick her up, and when she snuggles her head into my shoulder, I just melt! Plus, she makes the cutest elephant noise, complete with choreography! So adorable!!!
Today I went into my school and started working on my classroom a bit. Tomorrow is a fun day... lunch at B&G and then going out with a friend for drinks tomorrow night.
