Should I cross that bridge when I come to it... ?

I am currently looking for a new job. I have a few interviews lined up and I found a few other jobs I hope to apply for. In the middle of all of this I suffered an injury and may need surgery (which could require anywhere from a six week to three month recovery). I will not know the details of needing surgery until the middle of September.

Should I continue to apply and interview and just wait to see what happens and deal with the issue of taking a job or explaining the situation if and when it arises?

    Yes.

  • yes, I'd continue looking
  • You currently have a job, right?  I'd probably stick it out until after your recovery.  If you get an offer from one of the companies that you've interviewed with, I'd explain it to them and see what your options would be.  I wouldn't continue to look, though, until your recovery is nearly complete.
