Thanks to all my INs who provided some really helpful advice. My dad and I just booked our trip and are both so looking forward to it.
It's a total stretch to make this happen, and I'm still a bit in shock that I'm going to be with my dad when he hits the #1 item on his bucket list. It will be quite a moment.

Have fun!
Where did you decide to go?

That will be an amazing experience. We went to Ireland with my mom, a bucket list thing for her, and it was incredible to see how happy she was.
I also want to know where you're going!

Sorry about the post and run...got side-tracked with a busy day at work. We are going to fly into Zurich and then we are going to train to Lauterbrunnen/Wengen area that same night. Next day we are going to try to summit Jungfraujoch and do the hike down to Grimmelwald from the KS stop on the train (can't remember the name at the moment). Day 2 we are going to see a few waterfalls in Lauterbrunnen area and then perhaps take the panoramic train from Interlaken to Luzern--depends on weather and time.
If you've heard of recommendations of where to stay in Lauterbrunnen/Wengen/Grimmelwald area, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise I'm relying on god-knows-who from booking.com/hotels.com/tripadvisor. I trust my INs more.
Thank you all so much for the really helpful advice!
