in my previous life I was a hall director (about 5 years) and I have 20+ t-shirts that i cant part with due to the memories but i dont want them in my drawer anymore so i thought about turning them into a tshirt quilt....is this a project a beginner sewer could do...of course over a few weeks
can you make one just using a sewing machine?
or would it be easier to export this project to more of an expert?
are their any good tutorials (if this is manageable)
TIA
Re: t-shirt quilt
I also have a few t-shirts that I was wanting to do something with and this was one of my ideas. I know my mom did one awhile back for my dad and if I remember she was able to do all of it on her not so fancy pants sewing machine. I know she kept everything simple with straight cuts and straight lines for sewing, but I don't know much more then that.
You don't need anything special to make a t-shirt quilt. You could even do it by hand, if you wanted. Google "How to t-shirt quilt" and you'll find quite a few free tutorials.
