KLM with infant

I've flown with Delta and an infant before and had issues with the infant ticket being sent to me. Has anyone flown KLM with an infant? Did you have to pick up your ticket at the airport or did you have it sent to you? Can you have an e-ticket with infants on KLM?

I know I can call and ask KLM, but I wanted to know what people's experiences were. When I called and spoke to Delta reps in the past they all gave me the wrong information.

Thanks!

Re: KLM with infant

  • We had D's ticket sent to us. I was told by the KLM rep that you can't have an e-ticket with an infant, even if it'll be a lap child. I don't think we even had the option to pick the ticket up at the airport, but I'm probably forgetting some details.

The ticket came to us relatively quickly. I think we had it three or four days after we booked our flights.

  • I am currently going through this. Delta WILL send the ticket, I was told, but the billing and shipping address has to be the same which for me it wasn't. So I had to get it at the airport. I fly from a one desk, one gate regional airport so I was skeptical they had ever done thsi. Went there, spent two hours whiel they tried to figure out how to print it...long story short, eventually (2 trips and 3 hours on the phone later) they printed it out there. But yes, you need a paper, not E, ticket evn for a lap child.

  • Strange. Last summer I flew KLM when M was still considered an infant and I had an e-ticket. I wonder if it is because I booked with Air France but flew KLM or maybe because I was flying to Canada and not the US?

TT, you should call the airline.

  • I think I'm just going to go to the airport this weekend. I'm worried because I called Delta in the past and they told me one thing, but it didn't happen. But, I hope they can ticket it.

    thanks everyone.

  • I'm late to answer but looks like paper tickets for infants on international flights on Delta. Even though Delta is partnered with KLM, I'm not sure if they have to same policy. I'll keep looking to see if can find anything on KLM.
