What's everyone reading these days?
I'm still reading The Help. I'm super into it and want to be reading it all the time. That might be why my workouts haven't been as great! I just walk on the treadmill and read instead of doing a more intense workout
I'm looking forward to finishing it cause I think I'm going to go see the movie with MIL.
When I'm done with The Help, I'm going to get back to Unbroken which I've already started.
Re: Tuesday Book Post
I read 4 books on vacation last week. The Paris Wife was an interesting read. It is about Ernest Hemingway and his first wife. Mockingbird was also a great story about a little girl with Aspberger's whose mother died and then her older brother (13) was shot in a school shooting at the local middle school. It was definitely a YA novel, but hit on a lot of controversial topics.
I am currently reading a dog book. It is so good (enter sarcasm) that I can't remember the name. It is supposed to tell about why animals do what they do and how an owner can best address certain behaviors. I am about halfway through and haven't really "learned" a whole lot.
In other news...we got our puppy! His name is Linus and he is such a sweetheart!
Ohmygosh your puppy is so cute, Elisha!
I'm not starting any new books until I find out if I got this job or not. If I got it, I don't want a book to distract me from the obscene amount of planning I would need to do.
my read shelf:
I'm going to borrow the Help from a friend once band camp is over. I won't have time to read it until then.
I'm also expecting to get Terry Goodkind's new book The Omen Machine in the mail soon (it came out today and apparently unless its Harry Potter, Amazon does not do regular shipping so it gets there ON release day anymore? So it just shipped today BOO) and I will be reading that likely over the weekend because I just can't wait to see what happens, even though I still have to finish re-reading the last few books leading up to this one (since it's been a while since I've read the series).
