I saw on your blog that you are heading to Chicago soon!! I just wanted to say - have a blast here!
The stadiums... IMO, US Cellular has better food, while Wrigley and its neighborhood is more fun - better atmosphere, but since you can't drink, you may not see it that way!
Another fun activity on a nice day is the architectural boat tour on the Chicago River. I believe it's an hour or 2.
If you want any restaurant recs, let me know what type of food. For a snack, Garrett's Popcorn, if you havent had it, is to die for!
Have fun! When are you coming?

Re: MrsMew
Thanks for the recs! I was hoping Chicago folks would chime in.
We're getting in late tomorrow night and leaving early Saturday morning, so we really only have Thursday and Friday to sightsee. I like baseball and all but those two games are really eating up a lot of our time, ha! A friend of my H's also recommended that architectural boat tour, too, so maybe we'll have to look into that.
As for food, hmmm...I guess we may want someplace decent (not too pricey though) for dinner on Friday...we're big Italian or seafood people (or sushi usually, but clearly not right now, boohoo!). But we also like to "eat local" so if there's something or some place Chicago is known for, I'd love a heads up. For example, where is the best piece to try some Chicago pizza? Or anything else we should try? Oh, and at US Cellular that you say has better food, is there something in particular we just have to eat while we're there?

For pizza, the most popular places are Gino's East and Lou Malnati's. Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder is also a good choice, but it is a bit north in Lincoln Park (only takes cash). For seafood, Keefer's is great. It's a lil pricey, but not overly expensive. There is also a cute place I just ate at along the Chicago River that has indoor and outdoor seating. It's called Bridge House Tavern - just has your regular American food. Great popcorn and bruschetta for appetizer and fantastic burger!
At US Cellular I always have to get a brat or italian sausage with grilled onions. It's sooo good!
We are supposed to have good weather! Enjoy
Okay, all that sounds delicious and I want to eat everything.
Plus any restaurant that actually has popcorn on the menu is a-okay in my book.
Thanks for all the recs!
