Hi. Please tell me more about the bike seat and helmet in your sig pic. We are contemplating getting both. Also, my kid can sit on her own and is strong for 7 months. Is that too young for a bike seat?
Re: Katieg!
Wassup LD.
We picked it up at Erleton Bike Shop on 38. They fit him for a helmet and recommended that seat for him. We love it. I had wanted a seat that goes up front, in between the driver and the handle bars so that we could see him and he could see the world (a friend has one). But the shop manager said they aren't safe. And they seemed knowledgeable so we trusted them.
I think she sounds ready for a bike ride. It's a 5 point harness so he's not sliding around.
i've done a bunch of research neither back or front seat is safer. however it is harder to fit child seats on the front on american bikes.
fwiw i am buying a seat that was made and used in the netherlands, bobike, where babies on bikes and being on bikes is the norm. they make both front and back seats, but i am going with the front because it is smaller fit and my bike has a tiny frame. this one is recommended for 9 months up most people recommend waiting until one however.
