I went in for a postpartum check up today, and I'm only 8lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight! I can't believe I lost that much already! I only gained 35lbs, so I guess it's not that much of huge feat, but it made my day ![]()
I also talked to my doctor about restarting breastfeeding. She said it's totally doable for me since I still have a supply and haven't dried up. So the plan is to just try to breastfeed first, then give her a bottle. Emily isn't too sure about that plan though, she didn't really want to latch on. So I'm pumping a few times a day to try to help get my supply back up. It's kind of a long road/process, but I feel like it'll be worth it if I can do it. And if not then at least I tried.
Re: AW
Thanks! I didn't even know there was a BF board. I posted over there, so we'll see what they say!

Congrats on the weight loss!!
I estimate I gained 45-50lbs, and I'm 20lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. I really need to watch what I eat, but I've delayed joining Weight Watchers until Sept.
Speaking of, I did technically join, but their website confuses the heck out of me. I feel like an idiot having to take the online tuturials.
Best of luck with breastfeeding/pumping. I think you're so early on, you can definitely build your milk supply back up!
That weight loss is a huge feat! 8 lbs is not much left to lose!
GL with restarting BFing. [Unsolicited advice re: building supply with a pump] What increased my supply and output most drastically was massage/compressions while pumping and drinking outrageous quantities of water.

Way to go and good luck!
Btw, my cousin had a baby girl on Friday and named her Emily Grace. Well, I'm assuming it's Emily but my mom's email said Emiy, lol!
