my tummy hurts :-(
i have suffered with acid reflux since i was 19. you name it i have been on it and nothing works. i had 3 particularly bad bouts of it this week and the third one (sunday night) was so painful i went to the ER. i was there from 2 am to 9 and i was writhing in pain. the pain meds (dilautid) would work for a few minutes and then nothing. they gave me fluids, a gi cocktail of mylanta and something else that made my mouth numb, and iv pepcid and finally that took the edge off so it wasn't excruciating.
i have been home since then working on and off, popping percocet, and sleeping. they did an ultrasound in the ER for gallbladder which revealed i have "sludge" which may or may not be an issue. this morning i had a hida scan to test my gb functionality. i dont think it's gb but i would be absolutely skipping into the operating room if it would relieve my symptoms. i know it's minor surgery and if it can relieve my pain then where do i sign? anyway i am off to another sitting up nap. good times!
Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

ugh so sorry to hear that! I really hope you get better soon.
That is crazy...and think of the millions who take tums everyday. I will say they never worked on me either.
The best things ever were these things called I think Tempo's and they were small teal squares that were like a chalky chewy gum that dissolved but I haven't found them anywhere in years.
What do they mean by sludge?
