Consumer Reports?

Has anyone bought a month or year to Consumer Reports? We are buying all new appliances for our kitchen and it would be nice to look at the consumer reports online, but I wasn't sure if it was worth buying.

Any thoughts?

Re: Consumer Reports?

  • I bought a month subscription when we were looking for a washing machine on a budget.  It was something like $6.  Out of curiosity, I looked at some of our appliances on there and the comments were pretty much dead on so that gave me confidence when looking at the washer reviews.  We did look at reviews on amazon and epinions, too.  In the end, I feel like we ended up with a good washer at a good price.

  • When ever I have a specific need for consumer reports I head to the library.  They have current copies and archives of C.R. going back years.

This.  Not that $6 for a month subscription is that expensive.... but they're free at the library.... and you don't have to wait til the month that they're reviewing the product you want to buy.
