Re: Resolution check in
My goal: Budget diet
Good
1. We haven't spent much on groceries. Between going to family, working odd schedules, etc. we didn't have a lot of meals at home this month. I've been able to stretch the groceries.
2. I got a pair of PJs for Allison for $3 due to a $10 off coupon at JCP (too bad I bought the wrong size and have to go back to exchange)
Bad
1) Due to unknown reasons my ticket didn't get clear...$170 fine (*#$&#$%)
2) I need some new belts on my car - $160 (#@$@#%!). However looking on the bright side, at least I caught the problem and did't wait until they broke and had to call a tow truck.
I just realized I forgot a funny "bad"
On Saturday, I had my work fundraiser. I was so focused on what I needed to do for the event, I didn't put any thought into my outfit, other than I was going to wear the dress I bought last year. About five minutes before i had to leave home, I ran upstairs and grabbed my things. On the way to work, I realized I might be in trouble. I peaked up my shorts and realized "uh oh, polka dotted underwear" (not good with a semi shear dress) and then a few minutes later I peaked under my shirt (damn...I wore the blue bar, not the beige bar). So I spend $17 bucks at Walmart buying beige color underwear and bra.
Healthy Life Style:
I've made it to the gym last week 3x and this week 2x so far. Try to stay with in my calorie limit is still a bit hard. I'm trying to stay within 1200 - 1500. I'm also trying to my water intake. Ruffly half my weight in ounces. That's a whole pond full of water I'll tell you.
So my goal (b/c I'm not sure I outlined it for y'all) Trying to lose 25-30 lbs.
1200-1500 calories a day
135-252 carbs a day
32-56 grams of fat a day
60-127 grams of protein a day.
Gym 3x a week with cardio and strength training.
I'm tracking all this using sparkpeople.com . I used something similar to this when I was losing weight for the wedding. I think my problem is I eat when I'm stressed and bored.
I was really tired after dinner last night, but still forced myself to take a bike ride. I'm really glad I did. We went for 1 hr and 10 mins and really pushed ourselves. (H was leading the way, and I have to go really fast to keep up with him, on top of pulling T.)
But I think we've only taken two bike rides in the past week, and that's all we've done...
Uh....This came up fast! Bahaha.
Since the last check-in, I was able to get out and exercise like I wanted. Two hour long strength training sessions and 3 cardio (running/walking a little with Henry)
My eating was horrible over the weekend though because we were in Chicago. Started out with drinks and pot roast nachos, drinks, drinks and more drinks. Italian food at the wedding and then 12 am Korean BBQ.
Some progress since I at least had my exercise under control. Nutrition tracking starts again today!
I'm down 17 pounds total for this year, I think that's a couple more than last time I posted on the update. Proud of myself for not overindulging at the wine dinner. Didn't even have a hangover the next morning!
I am in the process of quitting smoking. So far so good, had a slip up last night but that's to be expected.
