Nanny/Sitter for 3 weeks?

I'm not sure where to look so I'm putting out all sorts of feelers on this one. I am having surgery on my foot Oct 11th. I will be completely off my feet for 3 weeks and then on very limited walking with crutches for the following month after that. Backstory : 6 years ago I injured my foot on the job and no one has been able to find out the possible problem until now. I'm still very scared about this surgery since I have no idea how it's going to go and then there's DD.

Workman's comp said to find out how much a sitter/nanny would cost for the first three weeks. Since they can't just give me lost wages with what I am currently doing, they will pay me the money for the help . Thing is, I'm not sure where to look. This would be someone coming into my house and essentially replacing me and that's a bit daunting. DH is going to take off 2 weeks so far, but the insurance company said I could/should still take the help and or money. I just need quotes. Ideally, I'd like to find something that would work since I may need help after DH goes back to work too.

So, besides sittercity, does anyone have any suggestions?
