Nice place to have a bridal shower?

In October?

Please suggest... SE side of GR or Kentwood preferably.

Thanks!

Re: Nice place to have a bridal shower?

  • Do you know anyone that lives in Bailey's Grove?  I went to a party in their club house and it was nice.

  • Are you looking for the place to do the catering or do you want to bring in the food. What is your budget if you want it catered.
  • Does the bride drink wine? Cascade Winery has a small room you can do showers. They also provide food.

I LOVE this idea. But my MIL will blow a gasket. ;)

The shower is for my future SIL, marrying DH's younger bro.

We'll do our own food, otherwise (a mid-afternoon shower), and I don't know anyone in BG. :(

  • Noto's rents out rooms...probably expensive, though.

Applause Catering had a banquet center with rooms of varying sizes.

Does Pietro's still rent out their backdoor pizzeria area? I think they used to...not sure if they still do. But they also have a smaller private dining room off of the main restaurant as well.

    Good thoughts; I'll give Pietro's a call.

  • Pietro's back room seems really nice, but I imagine they have to supply the food and that would get pricey for a large group...

I saw a baby shower in a random room at Centerpointe Mall the other week.  Back by Menards.  It was so funny to see a baby shower in a mall!

  • I really should start keeping a list of places. I can't tell you how many times I see places promoting a room to rent for special events.

How about Robinettes. I guess they have a special event space. Check out Kent Harvest Trails for a list of places on their tour and see if any of them have barn space or room space for rent

This isn't "nice", however the dance studio on Eastern (by JB's rents space for showers.)

Some hotels renta conference rooms for rent. Try the hotel off !-96 at teh East Beltline...the Suites place ( I can't think of the name).

If you were to have it at an off time (not lunch) that would help if you had to do catering. You could do desserts or some snacky type food. You might be able to do something semi-reasonable at the Meijer Gardens on a Sunday afternoon (or would that cause your MIL to freak out).

You can check this out for suggestions.

  • I do love the Robinette's suggestion, thanks. We are planning light snacks, 2-4pm, and a fall theme so maybe that would be perfect.
