Jackson is recently potty trained (Yay)!!! Right now all he does is sit to go...he seems to hit the crack between the seat and bowl and gets himself and my rug/floor all wet. Any tips to prevent this? Right now I just remind him to sink down a bit.
Thanks!
Re: Those with Toddler boys
We trained Cohen to aim down with his hand. Without getting too graphic, he put his hands between his legs while sitting and just kind of pushed it all down so it would aim in the water instead of forward. Daycare teaches boys to do this too, so it's the only way he ever knew.
We have a much bigger mess now that he stands.
Ugh T turned 3 in July and STILL wants nothing to do with the potty. Any advice
Thanks Ladies! We'll work on "aiming down."
As far as tips...we are actually EXTREMELY lucky. J saw a little boy that is 3.5 go potty at daycare and decided he wanted to do it to. Within a few days he was completely trained. He wears pull-ups for bedtime and long car rides, etc. He's really been doing very well. We rewarded him for the first 2 days, but realized that really didn't need it to go. We still tell him good-job every time he goes and ask him frequently if he needs to go.
