I'll start. My contract ends on Friday so I'll soon be unemployed. I'm going to Spain on Tuesday with my man and I'm very excited.

I'm ok, had my first wedding anniversary on the weekend which was surprisingly nice.
I'm new here so.. I'm from Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), and will marry soon my american fianc? and move there. Our visa interview is october 4th and I'm excited. Good enough?

Thing 1: I'm planning a bunch of vacations for the rest of the year since my plans for August fell through.
Thing 2: I want a new laptop.

Nothing going on here. It's been such a mild (v hot) summer, that we've done a bunch of weekend trip. Very cool! However, I woefully behind in "real life" (aka bill paying and laundry). You'd think I'd care, but really... not so much!
Anyway, enjoy your trip and good luck w/ the job search!
I'm jealous. I love Spain! Where in Spain are you going and for how long? Have fun on your trip, and have lots and lots of wine and tapas for us!
On my side, I am leaving for France next week and I am currently going through the stress of selling/buying houses (see post).

To everyone who asked, I am going to Spain with the Nigerian boy who I've been seeing for 3 months (I know it's soon to go away together, but I figure I should get busy living or get busy dying). I posted pics awhile ago. Do let me know if you'd like to see another.
To whoever asked, he is gorgeous. We're heading to Tenerife for 4 nights to an all inclusive resort. I am very excited.

Just to chime in on going on vacation with the boy, eh, I don't think it's too soon. Dh and I first went away on holiday at about the same time when we were dating. Have fun!!!

thing 1 - I'm completely consumed with apartment hunting right now and it is making me an insane person, and also boring because it is all I talk about
thing 2 - I'm an hour into the endless project of organizing all of DH's old video games that he won't throw away. No more boxes cluttering everything up, they are all going into a nice CD case. I should have made him do this.

Thing 1: I'm going to Italy this Saturday to finalize wedding plans. Then going to another wedding in Geneva. Very excited, I need this week away from sh!tmenistan.
Thing 2: We finally decided on our honeymoon location, which will be Nepal. That will be 6 new countries in 2011!

Friday - we leave for Italy for a weekend trip to see an Opera...so excited!
Fall is on its way, and it's my favorite time of year! I can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!

We just got back from 3 weeks in the US that was fun, but busy! We went to NYC, LA and Montana. I don't think we'll ever do that again!
Also, it's Ramadan so I only have to work 6 hours instead of 7.5. Hooray for that! :-)

Great to see you meggers! Have a great time in Spain with the man. And please report back with how it went. FTR, I also don't think it's too soon to go away together.
Thing 1: My parents arrived this morning for a few weeks, and we're taking them to France for the long weekend. I'm just praying for good weather all around, since it's been such a crappy summer in Newfoundland and I think they deserve a bit of warmth.
Things 2: I finally got my drivers license. Now I'm waiting for my zipcar account to activate so we can start doing more quick trips out of London. It's amazing how excited I am about that!

I haven't been around for a while, so it is great to catch up!
Thing 1: We spent a wonderful 3 weeks in Ireland. Saw many good friends, made new ones, drank Guinness. I got to have more nights out with my husband in the past three weeks than I have in the past year. It was wonderful. Plus, my brother and his girlfriend flew over and visited us while we were there. We had a blast and the boys loved playing with their Uncle Matt.
Thing 2: After a huge emotional roller coaster of I'm going/I'm not going, I am now definitely going home for a visit. I need it and I'm so excited that we were able to make it work in a way that works for both DH and I.
Nice to see you Meggers! I totally missed the first time you posted a pic but I'm not going to be online tonight so will just miss it again :-( I want to see him!!!
Thing 1: I'm also pregnant, but you know that!
Thing 2: DH and I are going to India at the beginning of October for a couple weeks. I'm insanely excited (although a bit less now with the added complications)... still though, the Taj Mahal!!!
