Lady Gaga's new video and Pop Music in general
What do you guys think about her new video You and I? Are you fan of her or do you not like her? How long do you think she can last in the music industry?
There just seems that there are so many Pop singers out there today that I was just wondering who do you think will still be on the scene two or three years from now?
Katy Perry?
Rihanna?
Kesha?
Lady Gaga?
Re: Lady Gaga's new video and Pop Music in general
Hmm...the only one that has longevity so far from that list is Rihanna. She has been around since 2005, so...6 years so far. The others..hmmm...Ke(dollar sign)ha is gimmicky as far as I can tell. If she got off the trashbag look, I'd reconsider.
I think these artists will stick around, LG is very adaptable and Katy Perry does have some true talent. It's just how they sell themselves that keeps them relevant.
I think LG is a better singer than Katy Perry. I have seen Katy sing live and she does not have a strong voice.
I think Lady Gaga will be around for a few more years - but her last few singles that have been played on the radio (I dont' have her newest album) seem to be very similar to Madonna's music in the late 80s/early 90s. There have been a few of her earlier songs actually that you can tell a musical chord/rhythm (bear with me, I know I'm using the wrong terminology) has been taken from other songs/artists.
Ke$ha will be gone in a year.
Rihanna will be around for quite some time I think.
Katy Perry - as much as I depise her and everything about her, her songs are catchy. But I bet she'll be divorced by next year!
What about Britney? I've heard a lot of her latest album on Pandora and it's freaking awesome!
I think Rihanna has staying power, at least for another 5 years or so. I would say the same about Lady Gaga but I will be curious to see if she is still as flashy.
Remember Pink when she always had crazy outfits and stuff? LG reminds me of her a bit. She may tone it down but she is unbelievably talented so she should stick around.
I HOPE Kesha goes away soon. I'm indifferent to Katy Perry.
I will always love Britney, even through her crazy times her albums were awesome.
You can't really put Britney in their category. She has been around a long time and is obviously here to stay.
I think it's time for LG to change up her act. The whole crazy outfits and queen of gays thing is going to get old...
My Blog- The Blonde Brunette
Lady Gaga can do no wrong with me. I like her new video. I love the ode to Nebraska with the piano in the middle of the cornfield. Reminds me of growing up in Iowa.
I think Lady Gaga is going to be around for a long time. She has the talent to keep putting out original work that appeals to a mass audience. The devotion of her fans appears to be undying. She already is an icon, imo. I hope she has a career like Prince.
Rihanna and Katy Perry will be around for awhile. Rihanna will probably be around longer than Katy P. Kesha isn't even worth talking about
