What book did y'all decide on? I've started packing & wanted to make sure I didn't pack the book club book if it is one that I already have.
Re: book club
Thanks! You guys already picked Octobers book?
I really wanted to do Unbroken. It is so good but also heavy and about WWII, like the book we just read. So I asked the girls if we could choose it for a future month and do something lighter in between and everyone agreed.
Racing in the Rain is not really fluff but it is a lot lighter in subject matter than the last book we just readl; a break from heavy. We also agreed on 9/10 as the next book club date, so we needed something that read quickly and I remembered Racing in the Rain going very fast.
I actually like the idea of picking our book in advance, especially for popular books, because I would rather get them from the library than buying them . The City library has 5 books for Unbroken but there are 9 holds on those 5 so by requesting it now, I may get it mid September. And if I were to buy them from amazon, it takes a week or so to get to me because I'm too cheap to pay for faster shipping.
9/10, yay! That means I can come!
I'm pretty sure I'm just a sap but I didn't find it light at all. The story is from the dog's perspective but the families life is pretty intense. It's not at all what I expected it to be.
...and I cried through about half of it....and cried for about an hour after I was finished. Happy Cry, not sad cry. ..like I said, though, I'm a sap.
Yay for you getting to come! We were worried about picking your book and you not getting to be there!
I tend not to be a crier at books, so maybe I am a bad judge of light? Oh well, either way - it's still a great book and I think everyone will enjoy it - I am glad you mentioned it.
That'll be great! If it's in the afternoon then I can come. I have the heart walk that morning.

Deepthi, book club is 12-2.
With All the Trimmings
Just do it!
Me me me! How does this work?!?! I knew you could share books, but I thought you had to de-register & re-register your Kindle to someone else's account in order to do it.
My email is ajvanwey at gmail.
PS - How did The Big News go over?!?
It's not quite legal, but my BIL taught me a way to strip the DRM from the book so you can email it like any other file. I think Amazon charges like 10 or 15 cents to recieve a file sent to your kindle. The only catch is that you can only read it on the actual Kindle, it won't sync to your phone or PC like books you buy.
You need to look at your amazon account and find out what the email address for your kindle is and I can send it to that, and it will appear like any book you buy, or I can email it to you and you can load it to your kindle with a usb.
Both sets of parents are completely over the moon about the baby! I think they're actually more excited than I am because they're not as nervous!! Because I'm starting at a new school district I had to switch insurance so now I can't go to the doctor until September. It's killing me!!! I just want to know that baby's ok in there!
Oh, that would be awesome...thank you! Tiffany618@Kindle.com
Could you send it to me as well please :-)? The e-mail is margaretaandrews_84@Kindle.com.
TIA!
