Anyone want to sale their chenille? cutter

I know I don't want to cut it by hand but not sure I want to buy a new one either. Does Joanns carry them?

Re: Anyone want to sale their chenille? cutter

  • Not selling mine, but thought I'd chime in...

I couldn't find one at my local Joann and it was a busy day so no one there could help me.  Actually, I went to a different Joann's as well and they couldn't find one for me, either.  I've heard they are sold there, though.

Instead, I bought one on Amazon.  It is pricey, but so worth it!  The first chenille blanket, I cut by hand and I recommend that using a chenille cutter will make your life so much better, no matter what the price.   I have made a couple more blankets since then and love it.

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

  • I bought this one at my local Joann's.  It wasn't in the aisle with scissors.  It was with the quilting supplies.  It's on sale for $9.59 - worth every penny in my opinion!

  • They have them at Hancock's but not Joann's here.

  • Thanks, I ended up cutting it by hand last night, not nearly as bad as I thought. I would much rather cut than sew those lines. If I ever make the other one, I might get it.
  • I got the Clover one too and I agree, so much easier and worth the money. I used the chenille technique for burp cloths and it took me 4 hours to cut one by hand but 15 minutes with that cutter.

I used teeny tiny scissors so the 4 hours includes some breaks for hand cramping. Not long breaks, but frequent ones lol.
