workouts

ok so I am FINALLY starting my 'post baby' workouts....I really want to lose about 5# and tone up...anyone suggest any good workouts..Im gna do the treadmil and ab stuff...however Px90 is not an option for me haha I wouldnt be able to handle I also started eating healthier and drinking more water and green tea in place of pop

Re: workouts

  • Maybe add in some yoga.  I love yoga and want to get back into it.  It is relaxing and good for toning.

BTW, I love how Pittsburgh and Ohio refers to soda as pop.  Reminds me of my childhood!

Yeah, just walking in your area is a good workout!

I was born in Ohio and my uncle and cousins are originally from Cleveland, so they always say pop.  I also have enough Penn State acquaintances from your side of the state that call it pop!  I didn't question it at all!

  • First of all I want to say, you look GREAT, I can't believe that you just had a baby in June!

I think that walks/runs around the neighborhood would be great, the weather's cooling off and you can take Breanna with you.  I also have 5 lb. weights that I keep in the living room that I'll use to lift with my arms while I'm watching tv about 3-4 times a week.  They aren't super intense but it's something when I can't get to the gym.

  • What about adding in 30DS?  It's 25 minutes from start to finish, so it doesn't take that much time.

Oh, and I agree - you look AMAZING!  I wish my body looked like yours, and I haven't had a baby!

I was going to say 30 Day Shred too! I used it for about 5 days and got distracted but I thought in those 5 days it really helped. If I could find it I would use it again...

  • Ditto what everyone else has already said. Walks around the neighborhood with Bre are are a great idea. So is 30 day shred - that was going to be my suggestion too! I think just anything at this point will be a good starting point. Make sure you get a mix of cardio and weights - that's going to boost the metabolism and keep it going even after you stop your workout.

  • My recommendation is that whatever you do have a couple different options so you can change it up and your muscles don't get used to doing whatever and then aren't challenged by it anymore.  I try and alternate between the elliptical (my favorite), stair master, bike and swimming.  I also second the idea of trying some yoga.  One of the things I like to do is stretching or crunches while watching TV.
If you've not been a big water drinking in the past and find yourself getting tired of it try adding some fresh lemon slices to it.

  • I think you look great too!!!  I have always called it soda, but my husband is from western MO (near KC) and he calls it pop!!  Some girls I went to college with also called it pop and they were from Northern IL.
