Want to help me name my new foster pup?

I have a 50 pound rottie girl that just arrived at my house with the name "Nada" meaning nothing.  How AWFUL is that?  Can the shelter think of nothing else?

Anyways, I am trying to come up with a new name that has a wonderful meaning.  So far, I've got suggestions of Nala meaning successful, Vida meaning life, Eve (Evie) meaning life, Hope, Gracie, Willow and Lucy.  She's definitely the Lucy, Evie kind of a pup I think.  Cutesy and upbeat.

I'm off to try and tackle a bath with her... she wreaks from pooping in her kennel on the way here.  And her skin is TERRIBLE.

This little beauty is going to be a beauty queen when I get done with her!

  • Post some middle and after pics.  Oh, and I think Nadia is fine...very different for a dog! :)

  • No, they had her listed as NADA before - we asked them to add the "i" so it would be on her paperwork as Nadia so not quite as bad but she's so not a Nadia.  And she was a stray so they have no idea what her name was so it's easily changeable.
  • I think Lucy sounds fitting for a rottie. Darcy? I know someone who just named their pup Winnie - I thought that was pretty cute.

Other suggestions (because I have way too much time on my hands and have been obsessing over name lists for future LOs)

    Ada (noble)

    Anabel (Easy to Love)

    Chanah (Grace)

    Brea (noble, strong)

    Gemma (Jewel)

    Kallie (The most beautiful)

    Sauda (Dark and beautiful)

    Wynn (Friend)

    Zole/Zolla (Life)

  • OK so all these names are beautiful and I can not even add to them because I love them ALL!  But I think someone suggested "Darcie" which is totally fitting since you could not be MORE loving, caring, and supportive!

Name her after the beautiful person YOU are!!!

That would be a complete coincidence and shows that I'm still a Newbie that doesn't know anyone by name!
