Anyone know a lot about computers (or have a DH that does?)
We just got a new laptop, and are setting it up tonight.
Our wireless router is is the office-we are in the living room. There is maybe 15 feet between us.
The laptop does not get the wireless signal unless we go IN the office.
I am trying to decide if I should send the whole thing back or if this is something that can be fixed.
Re: Anyone know a lot about computers (or have a DH that does?)
Yup, I'm on our old laptop now, in the living room, and use it here every day. DH is on the iPod, same thing. I can even use the iPod out in the driveway.
Router was a wedding gift, so 3 years old.
I'm so stumped! I'm seriously thinking of packaging it back up and sending it back to Amazon. It will only get enough signal to operate when I sit right next to the router!
