A couple weeks ago I was asking about fondant, and if it was easy. My experience: it is super easy to color, flavor, roll out, and cut. It is NOT easy to transport via packed luggage. I put it inside a ziploc bag, and then inside of tupperware.
After I baked my cupcakes and went to top them, it was incredibly hard to deal with the fondant. All the circles stuck together. There were a few I had to toss. Thank goodness I made 80 of each size for 50 cupcakes.
The end result (sorry for poor picture quality, I forgot my digi cam at home
) :

I did Zebra cake (chocolate & vanilla layered) with vanilla bean icing and vanilla flavored fondant. THEY WERE YUMMY.
Ps; I made Mango Chutney Wontons, using HEB Mango Chutney, they were also delish!

ETA: I would have suggested putting wax paper inbetween the layers, but didn't think of it! Sorry!
I did however get asked by 3 people why I put "playdough" on the cupcakes...*face palm*
haha. They must not be used to fondant in "those parts." Did they think they were eating an actual zebra, as well?
They were much older folk, so maybe they didn't have fondant or cupcakes.period during..... the depression...?
