I was fired this am, with this " you are not picking up the ball and running with it, and if you need a reference please have them call me, I will give anyone a great reference for you".
Thanks for listening to me.
Re: FU to Work Situtation
OMG I am so sorry.
I hate to say it, because I know from experience it's difficult to hear, but you are better off. When I read your orginal post, my wish for you was to get out of there fast. Talk about toxic. I wish it could have been on your own terms, but I think God realizes left to our devices we'll linger around in a bad situation.
File for unemployment, they may contest it, they may not. Basically for you to not get it, they would have to prove gross negligence and the burden of proof is on them.
I've been fired 3 times...awful. First time, everyone in the office was sorority sisters. 2nd time around I had a toxic relationship with my one boss, even had a chance to take another job and turned it down. 3rd time around, 2 girls lived together, I made a casual comment to the one girl at lunch that I found myself sticking with the same old small talk questions with the kids "what are you doing this summer" "do you have any pets", then the girl who was training me writes me up and one of the bullet points was "reports have difficulty establishing rapport with the clients"
vjcjenn- thank you and really don't be sorry, ITA God has a way of taking you from where you are to where you need to be, whether or not you are ready lol, I am good with it, and I did file unemployment, and my guess is they will not fight it, I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure they won't. Really, how can you fight it if you tell someone you would be happy to give them a "great recomondation".
Thank you for being supportive.
