AW: My most useful blog post yet

If you're my Facebook friend or already read my blog, this is a repeat for you and I apologize.  I don't usually AW my individual blog posts here, but the feedback I'm getting from this one proves that it's just as useful as I thought it would be.

If you read a ton of blogs via Google Reader (or don't yet have GR and want to know what the fuss is about), please come over and learn about the Google Reader Next Button.  It's amazeballs.

  • ooh I love reader - I use the Next button a lot at work because i think its more slick than have my google reader blatantly open.  For some reason.  LOL.

  • you may have just changed my life.

I wish there was something like this for the iPad.  I do a lot of my google reader reading via flipboard for iPad, but I know there has to be a better way...

  • So, in what order are the posts? When I click on the Next button I get the next most recent blog post from my reader? Hmm. I *really* like being able to see the blogs in their layouts (that's something I hate about the Reader!) but I lose the ability to choose which post to read next, don't I? Maybe this won't matter as much when I have less than 882 new blog posts to read (I got a little behind while I was on maternity leave!).

Ah, yes, you do lose the ability to read them "out of order", as it were.  You get the newest posts first.  If you pause to make dinner and come back, you start with the newest again.

On days when I'm short on time I'll still go to my Google Reader and skim the blogs I'm *most* interested in, then go back another time to "next" through all the rest one at a time.
