Have you been to an Ikea?
younghouselove buys sooo much of their stuff from this store. I checked it out online and they seem to have pretty decent prices. Is it good quality for low cost? The closest one is by Mall of America, boo. They need one closer, at least Kansas City would be nice.
I told my mom there is some frames I want from there and I guess she had gone to one in Texas and saw some stuff she wants. We are thinking of driving there next weekend to shop but I want to make sure it is worth it. (We'll also be hitting up an outlet mall on the way home).

Ummm....If you pick up some mirrors for me (small ones). I'll pay you! Seriously...There are a couple that I want. I would be forever grateful!
My sister is obsessed with Ikea and my BIL works in Detroit a lot so he stocks up on stuff they need that he can bring back on the plane when he's there, otherwise they order a lot on line. I've heard something like they won't come to a city unless it has a population over 1 or 2 million or something like that.
People plan vacations just so they can go to Ikea. LOL! I've never been.
I super pink puffy heart Ikea! I really wanted a high chair that they had. It was cheap, very modern looking and got GREAT ratings from Baby Good Buys...but the shipping was CRAZY.
I really like their home accesories and their kitchen gadgets. I could spend hours in that store!
We've been to the one in MN a few times and I lurve it. We have a bookshelf, wall shelf, pillows and several other random odds and ends from there.
We just got Ruby and IKEA high chair through Omaha Modern. They obviously upcharge IKEA's prices so they can make a profit, but it was still very reasonable. We've wanted this particular chair since Andersen was a baby because it gets great reviews, is easy to clean and looks nice. Plus, it was still WAY cheaper than any high chairs we could get anywhere else, even with their fee. I think we paid $10-$15 more than IKEA's listed price. They were super easy to work with and responded right away to my emails, so I'd definitely recommend using them if you don't want to make the trip yourself.
Oh I love Ikea! We've been to the ones in Minneapolis and Chicago (Schaumberg). There's a new one that just opened this summer in Denver, too (although obviously not as close as the MN one). We have quite a few things from there: our bay window chairs, a chair in both DD's room and our master bedroom, our office desk, quite a few pictures frames, a few prints (in our hearthroom), and our dining room table, among other things. I think the quality depends on the line/item you're buying, but we have been really happy with our purchases and I don't think they look cheap or anything.
Have fun if you end up going! The one in Minneapolis is right by the Mall of America, so you could hit that up as well.
Are you talking about me?
We were SOOO just there on Monday, too bad you didn't post this sooner. I could have picked up some stuff for yo
But you definitely have to go if you get the chance. The store is laid out awesome so you can appreciate the full IKEA experience without going in person. I wish they had better shipping rates.

I am Swedish, so I pretty much grew up at IKEA, lol. Seriously though, growing up my room was always furnished pretty much exclusively with IKEA stuff, and my apartment would be too if we had one closer than MN. I love their stuff. Most of it is some assembly required, but that makes it cheaper and easier to shove into a hatchback for the trip home, lol.
I recommend taking a roadtrip and spending a day at IKEA. Be ready to walk - a lot! As the place is designed to take you through each section without shortcuts. Also, do enjoy lunch at the cafeteria...Just thinking about it makes me homesick
