Re: Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful the nest is working again. Otherwise, it would have been a looooooong day!
Also, DH made dinner for tonight (chicken enchilada soup in the crockpot) and I can't wait! Om nom nom.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Yay! Working nest!
That's about it. It's been a pretty crappy day so far.
I am thankful to be working from home today so I could get all of the little errands I needed to do finished.
I am also thankful to have a fun workplace that incentivizes cool things, and that one of our rewards is tonight!
Stand up for something you believe in.
I'm thankful that I got three hours of quiet this morning to make progress on a long-overdue project. I just hope it lasts a while longer.
I'm thankful that I'm not being sent out on a "work-stoppage" assignment at work yet, since I don't know how I'd cope with being away from home indefinitely. (Please let the union strike end soon...)
QueSrah! My coworkers husband works for your company and he's been on assignment in Norfolk for weeks! When she mentioned that, I thought "Oh, surely QueSrah wouldn't have to that!". Yikes!
I am super thankful for a very relaxing, stretchy lunchtime yoga class, a relatively quiet workday and a happy hour to look forward to this evening. Everything's coming up Dunphy!
I bought a Street Sense paper today and asked my vendor if he was featured. He said yes, and proudly turned to the page where his article was and explained what it was about.
"It's about showing little kindnesses and being thankful," he said.
"You mean it's about gratitude?" I said.
"Yes! Exactly!" he answered.
"Great," I said, "Everybody needs gratitude on Thursdays."
I'm thankful my supervisor OKed a project I've been wanting to do, which also totally made my coworker's day. Yay.
I'm thankful that DH was able to go meet up with DS's daycare group today when they were visiting the Natural History museum. Looks like they had a blast.
I'm thankful the week of salads paid off and I'm back at my goal weight. Now I just need to maintain - which probably means I should hit the gym today instead of going to happy hour :-)

I'm thankful that my new dining room set is being delivered today... yay!
I am also thankful that this workday is over halfway over... phew!
We transferred over to corporate to late to be trained in anything useful, so my coworkers are being sent out to escort other managers in the field - basically guard trucks and document attempts by union workers to damage company property. I'm not prepared to be a security guard in the Bronx (which is where one co-worker is headed tonight)
