So, you guys know my obsession with Pure Barre. I boast about it after every class. I'm sure you're sick of it (hell I'm just glad I have something other than the baby to talk about!!)
Well I have been taking these classes for now 2 weeks about 3-4 classes a week on average; I can fit in comfortably to all of my pre pg "fat jeans" and one-two pairs of my normal jeans. I've lost nearly 3 lbs. I have lost 1/2" on my waist and 1" on my hips already (I'm not kidding). So, also, I am watching what I am eating and have supplemented the class with 1-2 gym workouts as well- I'm sure that's helped a little, but I just do it to mix things up.
I'm actually sad when I go back to work I'll probably only be able to make it 1, maybe 2 times a week if I am lucky since it is in a different town than I live and work in. Hopefully 1 night a week I will be able to go and one weekend day. I hope. hope. hope.
I absolutely stand by what this class does. It's hell when you're doing it (if you have a really good instructor) but so rewarding after. I am including two links

And this one, though I've not taken it, is another barre type class, very similar it seems.

Re: This class is no joke.
At least your moving, Kristen!!
I am just thrilled I found something challenging enough for me.
And writing down this helped me realize I very well could be in better shape 6 weeks from now then I was pre pregnancy. And I am pretty psyched to do the math and realize I've lost 33 lbs already.
