Obviously there was a lot going on to drive him to this, but you have to wonder if being portrayed on national TV as a controlling a-hole (even if that's what he was) helped him get to this point.
that is so sad for taylor. way worse for kennedy.

Yikes. I don't feel bad for him, only the ones who had to be around him.
I agree. I know you are not supposed to speak poorly of the deceased, but I still think the guy is a jerk. I think it's awful that he left his daughter without a father (although I realize that people are that depressed and want to kill themselves are not thinking rationally, etc.).
I also think that show is an easy scapegoat. While I think it can put a lot of pressure and unwanted spotlight on people, I just think that there was much more going on. He blamed the show for the loss of the marriage, his businesses, etc., but I don't know, that just doesn't sit right with me. The editing would have to be pretty great to portray you in a way that is not the way you are at all. It was also pretty obvious from the get go that things were not great between the two of them.
I'm also appalled that on GMA this morning, his stepmother claimed that Taylor was partially to blame because she wanted to keep up with her "extravagent lifestyle." Ugh really?
