Need children's book help!

I am teaching a class this semester that was taught last Fall by someone else.  Since I got asked last minute, and I've had bad MS and fatigue, I just don't have the energy to re-think the entire course, so I'm using her project ideas and modifying the lectures as needed.

The class is called American Housing, and it looks at the idea of "home", how it has evolved in this country, and all the architectural styles that have come along with it, etc.

The first project is to read a children's book that talks about home or house, and write a reaction paper-explaining how that book defines "home" and how it is different from/the same as their personal defintion, etc etc.

I need to suggest a list of books that will be relevant-anyone have any ideas?

So far I have:

Our House by Pam Conrad

Mr. Pines Purple house by Kessler

Miss Suzy by Miriam Young

I think there are some Dr. Seuss books that might apply too.
