***Kim***

I don?t know what your plans are this weekend, but I wanted to give you a word of warning.  This is our Back-to-School and Tax-Free weekend which is projected to be the second busiest shopping weekend of the year.  Texans love a deal so all shopping centers, Targets, Wal-Marts, etc are going to be completely nuts.  Most area schools start on Monday, so if you do decide to go shopping I would wait until then.  If you?re looking for a recommendation on which mall to go to I must suggest NorthPark Center, and not just because I work for NorthPark. Wink  We really do have some great shopping ? there?s high-end like Versace, Gucci, BCBG and Louis Vuitton and ?normal? stores like Gap, Express and Banana Republic as well as a few you won?t find anywhere else in the DFW area.  There?s also some great restaurants, and we have some awesome paintings and sculptures scattered throughout.  OK, so there?s my good employee spiel for the year. Stick out tongue  I don?t really have many other suggestions of things to do.  You could wander around The Stockyards or go to Six Flags or check out Snider Plaza (where Kennedy was assassinated), but all of those are outside and since we?re still well above 100 degrees you may not want to spend much time outside.  I?m totally up for meeting Saturday night.  I?m completely open so timing is up to you and Ashley, just let me know.  Have a safe flight.

  • Kim said she could do around 8:30 Saturday night.  If we all want to meet up, we could meet then.  Not sure where to meet yet though...

  • thanks for the info Jenny! I'm excited about the tax free weekend but not so much about the crowds.

You guys tell me where to be and i will meet you Saturday night! :)

  • Tax-free means you're only saving about $8 per every $100 you spend, and for me that's just not worth dealing with the crowds. Happy shopping if you do decide to go. Are you ladies thinking of maybe drinks and/or dessert for Saturday? Ashley, maybe somewhere in Frisco/Addison/North Dallas so it's about halfway between?

That's exactly what I was thinking.  What about Cheesecake Factory in Allen?  I don't know the places up off of Stacey enough to know what is there.  Plus CF has AWESOME desserts :)
