Next her nickname....He says Lily I say Lillie

Ditto. I think this is the standard. And even if you choose otherwise, this is how people are going to spell it most often.

I like Lillian and Lily (my niece is named Lily).
Both seem prettier and more classic to me. I'm very into classic, pretty names. I feel like they tend to stand the test of time, instead of seeming trendy and outdated later on. Same goes for how they're spelled. I prefer a classic name spelled in a classic way. When people get too nutzo with the spelling of the name, I tend to feel like it's just trying too hard and/or obnoxious.
But that's just me!
