Tips on Diaper rash?

Tessa and Kellen have had some kind of stomach bug since Wednesday night. Both of them have had horrible diarrhea. She has a really nasty diaper rash now from being irritated from the constant pooping. I have never really had to deal with diaper rash before because neither of them have really ever had it. I have been putting tons of Desitin on her everytime I change her diaper, but are there any other tips you ladies have?

petrolium jelly / vaseline, aquaphor, olive oil, coconut oil, lanolin as a barrier that would really stick on to keep the ickys away. If it is a little open/cut I would add some neosporin (did this week here since she is now drinking cow milk and her body is adjusting and had a lot of poop!). Since we CD I use CJ BUTTer, but use desitin clear and that works well for this (is mostly petrolium jelly)

I would let them air out as much as you can, and we love Budreaux's Butt Paste for a cream. Alex gets rashes a lot due to sensitive skin and her constipation issues, it usually clears it up within the day.

I usually put on Aquaphor and then put baby powder over that. It works really well for my girls cause the aquaphor creates a barrier and the baby powder absorbs the moisture.
