I can't make it to the GTG next Thursday...
I am in desperate need of a haircut and I waited until the last minute and that's the only evening that my hairdresser has for like 3 weeks.
Have fun!
Re: ::ritzy::
I have a better idea. How about you come over to my house and I'll cut your hair? One time when I was little I did a real nice cut and style on a Barbie doll of mine. It came out real special.
In all seriousness, that stinks... but thank you for letting me know! I'd actually like to plan another GTG (probably at Carrabba's again just because I'm familiar with the process of planning one there) for next month. I'll probably start putting the "feelers" out there for that GTG soon just to see who'd be interested. Hopefully you can come to that one!!
My sister cut ALL the hair off my barbies when we were kids -- do you promise to do a better job than that??
How have you been feeling? Getting ready for that baby?
I seem to remember my doll looking something like this when I was done with her, except in blonde.
I remember hiding the hair behind the couch and thinking that my Mom wouldn't notice. I can still vividly remember her asking me from the buttom of the stairs whether or not I had cut my Barbie doll's hair. I just shook my head and said "I didn't do it. I don't know where the hair came from" and thinking that I was so sly for getting away with it. Yeah right.
I think I was about six years old.
Emotionally I am ready for baby to be here! Getting really excited and enjoying my "mental count down" to baby day, which is now at 42 days. CRAZY! Practically speaking, I would say I still feel like I need more time. I have baby clothes to wash, a room to get ready, and some projects around the house that I'd like done before she arrives.
Speaking of projects, how is the kitchen coming? How have you been feeling?
The kitchen is done!! Andy finished the backsplash on Saturday so besides a few touches like trim and molding, we are done and everything it was working. We got to enjoy it for less than 24 hours before packing up all the rooms to have the hardwood floors refinished. We have been staying at my ILs since Sunday and I am very eager to go home tonight. However, that is also short lived as we are getting carpet in the basement and 2 extra bedrooms next Wednesday. THEN we are done. I will post updated pics of all when it's said and done.
I don't feel like I am ready for a baby in any way, shape, or form quite yet. Once we are done with the house, I want to get the baby's room together. It's already painted, but the crib/dresser are at my ILs house and I want to start putting everything away. My shower is the 18th so I should be a little more ready after that.
Emotionally, I can't believe I will have a baby in 10 weeks (give or take). My cousin recently had a baby at 33 weeks so my mom likes to remind (scare) me about that. Right now, I hope I go at least to my due date, and I really wouldn't mind a few days after, so that I can be off through all the holidays. But ask me again in 7 weeks and I'm sure I will do about anything to get this baby out.
Physically, I am feeling good. I feel like I'm getting huge, but I was at the doctor's yesterday and saw some super duper pregnant women and realize I am going to get a lot bigger still. Besides being uncomfortable, and the occasional foot in my rib, I can't complain too much.
When is your c-section scheduled for? Are you opposed to a VBAC if you go into labor earlier than that?
