Wicked at Ked cent....does it really start at 7:30?
we are seeing Wicked on Sat night with a group of people. does the show actually start at 7:30 on the dot or it is a little later.

We went a few weeks ago and they started fairly promptly ... maybe 735, first act ended at 9p, 15 min intermission and ended at 1015p

My experience at the KC is that curtain goes up around 5 minutes past start time. For concerts I've been in as well as shows I've seen there. Get there early to park for sure - take a look at how many shows are there Sat. night and keep in mind most of the audience members for all the shows combined are going to be vying for parking.
ETA: Enjoy! I'm not a huge musical theatre fan, but I really really enjoyed that show!!
They'll hold about 5-7 minutes (which is actually quite typical). Esp. since the run is sold out, if the house manager sees a lot of people still streaming in at 7:30, it will probably be 7 minutes or longer.
The parking issue is for realz a pain. If all 3 large houses are full, and one or more of them are sold out, parking is a nightmare. Usually the Opera House starts at 7:30, the Eisenhower at 8, and the Concert Hall at 8...so that's a lot of people trying to arrive at the same time.
