He was born at 3:52pm yesterday, 8lb 12 oz, 21 inches long. He is so perfect, and my delivery was AWESOME!! After I got my epi, it kinda became one sided so I could feel everything on my left side, and it hurt! So, the dr came back in and put mega drugs in the epi, and I couldnt feel jack *** from the waist down. I took a nap for an hour or so, I woke up, the nurse checked me, and was like "oh my, the head is right there!" - 4 contractions later of pushing, he was out, and my vag is intact - holla!
Tidbits of random info:
1. Abby from the nest was my nurse the other night - hello Abby! Just goes to show you, its a small community here, and now another nestie has been elbow deep in my vag (thought I would never see that day)
2. The student dr at my delivery looked like Frodo from Lord of the rings. Its all I could think about when I looked at him. I was like "Hmm, frodo is delivering my placenta"......he was a nice kid though.
3. No hoagie vag this time! I didnt even tear! So glad we decided to induce a week early. He's still a big boy, I cant imagine how big he would be if we let him go a week or more. Ouch!
4. We got damage to our cars and our house from the hail storm that moved through cb. I'm scared to see it when we get home.
5. Ben is such a great baby - its really crazy to see the difference between these two boys. Owen was so fussy, and ben is just chill - he never cries unless you pester him with a diaper change. He nurses so good (almost too good, my poor bewbies!) He's sleeping in my lap right now, while Owen watches cartoons.
