woooooooooo! any big plans this weekend ladies?
a friend of mine is getting ENGAGED tomorrow!! wooooo! my friend (boy) invited all of their friends onto this yacht for tomorrow..he bought tickets for all of us, and it's a surprise party. i *think* he's proposing beforehand, and then celebrating on the boat. i'm so excited for them, they are perfect for each other!
so last night i went out to dinner with two friends.....and i really hate the "entitled" feeling, but i feel like they should've bought my dinner yesterday.......! the "reason" we had dinner was because one of the girls couldn't make my bday party, and she wanted to "make-it-up" to me. i'm just sayin'....in the past when i couldn't make her parties, i would take her AND her husband out to dinner, and then pay for both of their meals. i'm now 13 dollars poorer than i was 2 days ago because i thought she would've bought my dinner. boooooooo.
nothing big planned today or for sunday. have a great day!
Re: haaaaaappy friday!!!!
that's kind of strange of them... I mean, if they had just said "hey let's hang out and get dinner" vs. "hey let's get dinner to make-up for missing your bday", it would be different. So you're not crazy
There's a stand-up comedy thing tonight and I'm trying to convince H to go with me - a friend posted on fb that she'll be performing and I want to see her!

Amanda - what comedy venue? A FB friend of mine is performing this weekend too, but I won't be making it.
Will you lades PLEASE tell me to put my big girl panties on and get up and drive myself to IKEA tomorrow?!?
I had an anxiety attack on the highway over a year ago and I refuse to drive them now. I drive around the neighborhoods - I have no problem taking the back way to Edmonds, etc. but the highways freak me out.
I keep trying to telling myself that if I go - I can spend as much time as I want because the list nazi (DH) won't be there....
You can do it!
I came in to a shiit storm this morning.
But it ended up working out in our favor.
Happy Friday indeed.
You can do it! IKEA is such a great place to stroll around, and there are so many options on things to buy! It'll be worth the drive.
jennlin - I would be ticked off too about the dinner, especially since you're eating for two. But paying for you might have slipped their mind, maybe they are having $$$ issues, or they just suck with basic etiquette.
I have a Bridal Shower and Bachelorette party to go to tomorrow. It'll be fun to get into some trouble with several of my sorority sisters

jumped ship to the new and improved nest. back to TB for baby boards.
Kari -- Remind yourself that you don't have to stay on the Hwy if you aren't ready. You can get on the highway and if you don't feel ok, take the first exit. Then keep going as long as you're ok, but remember it's ok to take the first exit you feel like you need to. Just have a map or GPS so you can find your way home/where you're going without worsening the anxiety.
I recommend this not b/c i don't think you can do it, but b/c i know anxiety is worsened by feeling trapped and feeling like you don't have a plan, and both of those are addressed here.
You can do it!

Thanks for the advice. I do have GPS and I actually use to live near IKEA so I know my way to and from - I just hate the highways. But I'll be sure to take my GPS incase I pull off in an area I'm not familiar.
I feel silly feeling like this - I drove from Tampa to Rapid City to Vegas then up the California Coast to Seattle, by myself with a dam atlas in 2005.
Hello! Les Miserables was fantastic last night! It is my favorite musical ever.
DH and I are having lunch with his mom later and I have an acupuntcure appointment after. Not much else going on.
Have a good day!

Happy Friday!!
Busy, busy weekend for me but nothing tooo exciting.
BUt tomorrow is jam packed.
H just said he's going to a friend's house who lives up north so he probably won't be home until late tonight so I'm gonna figure out something to keep me occupied.
I'm the worse party goer ever. I always buy gifts the same day... Weddings/showers/bdays everything. So i'll be buying a gift in the morning for a babyshower bbq that i'm going to.
