i'm thinking of taking h's cousins on one of the ferry's on sunday. i have nothing specific i want to do, and no real timelines. we can get there early to avoid the wait.
i was thinking edmonds/kingston or mukilteo/whidbey....i haven't been to either island since i was a child, so i don't really know what each one has to offer.
kingston can be a walking-town, right? i can walk on the ferry for cheaper? how much time should i expect at either island? any recs other than these two?
TIA!

Re: ferry ride for the day
Oh, it looks like you can make reservations for ferries now.
And yes, walking on is way cheaper than driving on.

If you end up on Whidbey, seriously, go to Toby's. It was tasty.
i suppose i could do bainbridge, it's just further away. what is there to do in winslow? is it artsy, etc?
