I just saw a thing this morning about it (I don't have cable, but apparently it's a show) - basically a more clean version of extreme hoarding, lol. But one of them was a collection of shoes/shoe paraphernalia, I think she had 15,000 things or something.
1. Did you collect anything as a kid?
2. Do you collect anything now?
3. If you could have an extreme collection, what would it be?
Re: Extreme Collecting
1. Did you collect anything as a kid?
trolls.
2. Do you collect anything now?
3. What would be your extreme collection?not really- my cousins still buy me cow stuff (and i occasionally buy it myself), but i wouldn't call it "collecting", since i don't use it for display, i only buy practical items. in public, i have a cow tea kettle, spoon rest, s&p shakers, and trivets. my cousins buy me useless stuff like "cow patty cookies" or paper plates, napkins, etc that have cows on them...but none of the stuff is too out of the ordinary.

oh! i used to have beanie babies too! i also did the holiday barbie thing, but that only lasted *every* year for about 4 years. my cousin got me one randomly for 2010..i think it had been 15 years since i had last gotten one.
i also used to collect goosebump books, if that counts.

this wasn't supposed to mean that you have one, but if you could collect a lot of something, what would it be?

1. Did you collect anything as a kid?
- stamps (family 'tradition' on my dad's side, I have fun memories of doing that together)
- dolls, all different kinds, but it wasn't a very large collection
- spoons from the various places we went for vacation
2. Do you collect anything now? besides clothing/shoes... I would like to work on my English tea cup collection, my mom has a nice set but I only have 3 (it's hard to find ones made in England these days)
3. If you could have an extreme collection, what would it be? I could see myself endlessly collecting shoes, for real :P I also just love antiques and retro/vintage clothing, if I was one of those hoarders/extreme collectors I would have tons of that displayed all over the house.Planning Bio

1. Did you collect anything as a kid?
Beanie Babies and American Girl dolls (I had 3, but it took a long time to save up for each one as a kid!).
2. Do you collect anything now?
Books, we have a ton of books.
3. If you could have an extreme collection, what would it be?
Pretty, frilly, retro-ish party dresses - especially by Betsey Johnson! I only have 2 dresses of her's now, but if I had more $$$$ I would buy more

1. Did you collect anything as a kid? I can't remember, but I assume there was something.
2. Do you collect anything now? stamps in my passport
Up until about 2 years ago I was collecting the blue and white Starbucks city mugs. I'd get a mug to every new city that I went to. I was a little crazy about it and had almost 50 of them. I wouldn't let H use any of them and they sat in some cabinets in the kitchen. Once they started growing out of the cabinet I realized it was kind of dumb. Randomly, I found someone on cragistlist looking to buy them and I sold my entire collection. I think I made like $14 off of it.
3. If you could have an extreme collection, what would it be? more stamps in my passport oh and Loubies. Def Loubies.
1. Did you collect anything as a kid?
Bears. Mostly stuffed bears, but bears of any kind. My mom got me one of those cheesy little curio shelfs with jigsaw-like cubbies to put my little statue things in.
2. Do you collect anything now?
I collect the annual Swarovski snowflake ornament (thanks MIL! LOL...started because I went through a short snowflake phase) and I keep a small collection of teacup/saucers. I think I only have like 8. I prefer demitasse as that's officially what the collection is, but have added a few regular size, all bone china except a teacup that was my grandma's (depression glass). Err...I guess you could call my art/craft supplies a collection since I don't have space to use the stuff yet
3. If you could have an extreme collection, what would it be?
Really nice jewelry? Not costume, cheap crap, but gems, natural stone, etc. Also, sets of dishes a la Martha so I could use whatever look I felt like and swap constantly!
jeeaallllooouuuussss!!! but ModCloth is sort of helping with that obsession, someday I'll save up for one of hers too

1. Did you collect anything as a kid? Not really. I tried stamp collecting for a while cause my Girl Scout troop was doing it but it bored me. I sort of collected Asian Barbie (Mimi doll) clothes.
2. Do you collect anything now? Wine and kitchen supplies. I am not allowed to go into Williams Sonoma, Macy's Home, Crate & Barrel, Sur La Table, Mrs. Cooks, Home Decorating Supply Company, and an assortment of other kitchen-based stores alone. :P It's that bad. And D wants us to stop our wine club memberships, until he realizes just how nice it is to go to a wine release party and eat appies and drink wine for 'free' while sitting out in the sun.
We kind of 'collect' shotglasses from different places in the world and tiny stuffed dolls (usually bears) from wherever /we/ vacation together. The first one, our friends get for us as cheap, easy souvenir (or we get for ourselves if none of our friends have gone there yet). And the latter, we always get for ourselves.
3. If you could have an extreme collection, what would it be? Shoes, handbags, jewelry, and stamps in my passport. (Along with kitchen things.)
Dresses by ModCloth and Anthropologie would also totally be among my extreme collection of girly dresses. I'm still getting over how fricking cute that first white and pink dress you posted was!

ugh, I know, I really want to buy it... I really shouldn't because, even though it's not expensive in the real world, it's maybe more than I should spend on one item right now :-/ Technically my ILs gave my bday money, but that sort of went towards our trip. Gah. And H is no help because if he likes it too, he's not good at telling me no

1. Did you collect anything as a kid?
Beatrix Potter books/figurines (aka Peter Rabbit and friends). I got them all from my grandmother who got them from England.
2. Do you collect anything now?
Do dust bunnies under the couch count? No? Oh, then no. I don't.
3. If you could have an extreme collection, what would it be?
I don't think I love any type of thing that much to want to collect the related paraphernalia.

Oh, I just thought of a real collection that I do have right now. I collect Diane Von Furstenburg dresses.
My pinnacle, crowning moment was when I was at the DVF art show in Shanghai and one of the dresses on displayed was a dress that I owned. I almost died.
